Hiya all. Just wondering if any of us PCOS ladies are doing WW. I have just started and so far seem to be losing. Fingers crossed. Lol. Any top tips?

Hi miss smiley, dont have any top tips really but im also pcos and doing weight watchers. I want 2 lose about 2 stone. Put on a horrific amount over xmas! Lol. Just had my first weigh in n have lost half a stone!! :) have u had urs yet? i also lost a stone n half 4 my wedding last year with the diet, so does seem 2 work 4 us :) i love these boards 4 picking up recipe ideas n also the weight watchers online msg boards 2. Tend 2 use my weekly points spread evenly over the week rather than jus all in 1 go. Good luck! :) xx

Hi. I've got PCOS and have just started weight watchers. I'm not going to the classes myself as I can't afford them, but my Mum goes and I've been in the past so got all the information from her! (And she lets me use her logon for the website so I have full access to everything!) Fingers crossed I can stick to it and shift some pounds! The weight has just crept up over the last few years and I need to get it down before it gets too much! xx

Heya. First week I lost half a stone too. Yay. Im doing it online ... Got a deal but did go to classes before. Got quite a bit to lose so going to pace myself.

The recipes are great ... Tried a few sweet treats. Lol.

I try not to go totally overboard on carbs as i tend not to lose much when i do but its nice to know i can have some.

Well done and good luck ladies

Well done on losing half a stone too! :) im doing it online 2 - wat day do u get weighed? r u losing weight in the hopes of conceiving or just to be healthier? We r wanting 2 conceive so am keeping everything crossed that losing weight does the trick as really dont want 2 b referred 4 fertility treatment. Xx

Heya. I wi in tuesday mornings. I'm single and 33 so figure i need to get in shape and itll help all aspects. I'd love to have a kid at some point and im not getting any younger. We will see.

What are the referal criteria for fertility treatment?

Aah thats good - am hoping that will happen with me 2 - havent really been a healthy bmi during my adulthood so dont really no whether it will making a difference or not, but keeping my fingers crossed that it does. All the best with your weight loss! :) let me no how u get on at ur next weigh in. Xx

I also have PCOS and have been doing WW since August. I lost a stone and half last year on Slimming World but got bored so signed up to WW online. I lost two and half stone until Christmas but had a bit of a gain after enjoying myself too much over the festive period (8lbs - eek!!) so working to get that down now. I'm also TTC and have my first hospital appointment on 7th Feb so hoping to have a BMI of 30 for then :)

Oh wow - you are doing brilliantly - well done! I was the same over xmas - thats another thing with pcos - not only do we find it hard to lose weight but all we have 2 do is look at a bit of cake and we r gaining! Lol. All the best for getting to a bmi of 30 - how much more do you have 2 lose? And good luck for your first appointment! :) xx

I know, I had a huge gain. Reckon I'm about 11lbs off bmi 30 so have gone back to basics and am eating as much fruit, veg and good for me stuff as I can. Thanks, excited for appointment but scared I won't have lost enough for them to investigate so trying extra hard xx

My pct won't give fertility treatment if you are obese so it's under 30. Some say 35 but from what I've heard the majority is 30 which means you are in the overweight bracket rather than obese. X

I was to start with, bmi was just short of 40. Keep going with it, it'll all be worth it :) x

I no its naughty but i had a little mid- week weigh in this morning 2 c how i was getting on n iv not lost an ounce so far this week!! Humph! Lol. Have watched wat iv eaten like a hawk aswell! :-( gonna do loadsa exercise n drink lots of water n hopefully will av lost a bit by time weds rolls round! Xx
