One thing after another!
Hi Ladies
To cut a long story short, I was diagnosed with PCOS at 17. I took Metformin/Glucophage for a while, but to no avail, and in the end I was prescribed a tablet which brings on a period. Since then, I have been trying to lose weight, and have been seeing my specialist regularly who has done blood tests and they have came back saying I have an over-active thyroid. Which I fins strange as for years I've have a border-line under active thyroid! So I'm due to go for scans/tests to see what the cause is.
Here is where it gets weird, my stomach swelled up last May - and I mean to the extent where I looked about 7month pregnant. I had shooting pains down below and ended up in A+E. They did a pregnancy test, which was negative, and felt my abdomen but said they couldn't feel anything. The swelling went down, the pains went and I forgot about it. However over the past 5/6 months, the swelling came back, but then goes, then is back etc. I've no pains anymore, but just under my ribs on my left side, it feels ad if something is pushing out from the inside. I went to see my specialist and he was VERY concerned - he's arranged for me to have an emergency ultrasound this week. My doctor however has known about this since it starting again and didn't bat an eyelid.
I was basically wondering if anyone else had anything similar or any other problems.
Thanks!!
