Tropical fish and Tonkinese cats

Hi guys
Before getting ill I used to love walking my dogs and riding my horse. My dogs are long gone now and my horse is ridden by someone else and I miss them every day. Once I was well enough to cope with them my OH and I bought two Tonkinese kittens. They are our babies and make our life so much better. I also have 3 fish tanks! They are all tropical freshwater and I love my little aquascapes. My favorite fish is my Fahaka puffer fish and she is a real character. They are called underwater dogs because they are so responsive and playful. I never knew fish could be like that! Are there any other fish or cat people here?
Anyway, when I have enough privileges I will post some pics.

hiya I've got 2 tabby kittens and 2 fish tanks..one 240litre community tank and a 28 litre with bumblebee gobies who are going to be joined soon by a dwarf puffer

I love bumblebees. I would love some but don't have the right set up at the moment. Ahhh, love the little dwarf puffers and I'm told they are just as cheeky as their bigger cousins! My puffer is a Fahaka called Clarkson and she's a real character. She's got a 400l aquarium to herself. She plays with the cats which can be really funny to watch.

Have you had any cat/tank accidents? Both mine have fallen in the big tank at some point, fortunately before Clarkson arrived our they may have lost digits!

lol thankfully we have good solid covers! I have bought them an activity centre cat tree thingy that they love and keep them occupied with the laser light and fishing rod!
Did a water change today on the little tank and its knackered my arms lol

ive gotta google fahaka now to take a look

I have an automatic water change system so no buckets for me anymore. Used to be a nightmare doing water changes on the 400l!!

We have built cat shelves in our living room. They go all along one wall at different heights and covered in fleece material. They love it. It goes over the Fahaka tank, which we fitted with a very solid perspex lid so they can watch the fish. It keeps them all amused but they have been known to nearly swim with the fishes during a water change when they just assume the lid it's there and it isn't! It's quite funny, like the matrix! Cats in slow mo trying to change their trajectory when they see the lid has gone, hee hee hee

ha ha ha that is hilarious, I could actually picture it as I was reading it!!! My little puffer will be here soon yay!! Blimey I was reading about your one, they are savage lol Cute though! My one is a little figure of eight. I got some killifish eggs through today from Thailand, so I have got to set up and cycle another tank for breeding. I cannot wait til they hatch as the fish are beautiful, stunning colours
