My tummy tuck

wow thats pretty amazing

the thing i worry about is still having a little over hang over the scar or the scar not being symmetrical
rather than having a scar , if that makes sense

i dont mind the scar if its flat and neat

also if you gain weight after , do you get a paunch over the scar again

thanks for posting those

HI, as long as you don't suffer from kelidoscope (sp) scarring there is no reason why it won't be flat. And i've not know of any one having an over hang from a good surgeon.

The 2 year after picture was taken this jan and thats me 21lb heaver than when i had the op and i don't have an over hang, still lovely and flat.
They do advise that you don't gain more than 7lb, 14lb at a push or it can affect the results.

Which surgeons have you look at?

none yet , Ive been given a few names by different people , its will not be for at least 18 months I want to get to goal , hit the gym and see what I can do myself first , and if i end up with something that I can live with then I wont go down the surgery route , but it is very tempting , after 2 c sections and being 4 stone over weight for several years I cant see weight loss and exercise getting rid of my overhang

Ive seen results where the scar is a good couple of inches higher one side or the side view isnt flat , I dont think the scar itself would be a problem , my c section scars healed very flat

my belly looked very similar to yours actually but hangs over on the sides a bit too, Ive lost 2 stone now so its smaller but Im not kidding myself that it will ever ping back no matter how much I lose

how was it getting a new belly button lol , did they tell you how far they moved it up , and did they remove all your stretchmarks , thats a great bonus isnt it

I also had 2 sections, and i didn't like my tummy after the 1st one, and it ruled my life after my 2nd one, always thought about it, made me really un happy, even after losing 4st. Be we are all diff see how you feel, i had quite bad muscle damage too.

My scar is all faded now, can barely see it :)

looks fab :)

New belly button was fine got rid of my whole where i used to haveit pierced.

It's very hard for them to remove all your stretchmarks, most people do still have them unless they where very low, but the strechmarks never bothered me x

Actually my stretchmarks dont really bother me much either , I suppose they end up much lower down

I think Ive probably got muscle damage too ,I could have lived with my belly after my first son , I was 20 when I had him and things returned almost to normal , although Ive never had a flat tummy, it was ok

But I was absolutely massive with my second boy and much older at 36 , I went 15 days over , Im only 5ft 2 and he was 10lb , I could feel myself being stretched and pulled in ways I didnt think possible lol it was horrible , I dont think 1000 sit ups a day will repair that

Im going to look into running , from what Ive read on various forums it seems to be what alot of people that have had a good non surgical result have done to get into shape , something to do with toning all the core muscles and more effective than crunches

I just need to shrink my 38E boobs down before I start taking up jogging though

Looks brilliant :)
You must be really pleased. Did you have muscle tightened as well? Or just the skin done?

I do running, hard work with 32ff, it shock abosorber bras work a treat!!

No amount of running, sit ups can tighten the skin when it's been really streched, believe me i tried x

Yeah I know Im stuck with it , Ive just got to try to make it look the best I can , then decide if I can live with it or not, my belly is getting smaller as I lose weight and its looking better , still at least 20lb to go though , wish Id taken some pictures now :) would be good to be able to compare

Hi Candy Cat - your pic looks amazing. I am seriously considering a TT. I have lost 5 stone and ideally looking to lose another 1.5 to 2 stone. I workout 3 times a week and am losing inches but I still have a massive big wobbly belly. Its so depressing.

Would you be prepared to tell me how much you paid for your TT? PM me if you don't wish to post publicly. It would be so helpful as it would at least give me some idea. Some of the estimates I have seen on the internet differ so widely. :)

Me again! Just seen your replies on the other thread which included the price. I am shocked (in a good way) as I thought it would be much more. I think I need to start researching! :)

The price is just for tummy tuck and muscle repair, i didn't need any lipo :)

With lipo it would be a fair bit more. x

your tuck looks awesome, this is something i am looking into right now, i have lost 9st and have a very saggy over hang, not pleasant when love making infact it sickens me and puts me off the whole ordeal full stop!!, hubbies dad has offered to take out a loan for me but wants me to look into the nhs first, not sure if this would happen mind?

From what i have seen private is much more worth it. You get to pick your surgeon, which hospital ect. NHS also don't offer after care, but private you will get a years after care at least. If you can afford it go private
