well, i'm obviously talking to myself in here ha. but never mind.

feeling much better today it's a friday, it's payday, and that's two good reasons for me to smile. i don't feel too bad, a few cramps but nothing major. i have, however, just eaten my chicken salad sandwich that i bought for lunch, for breakfast... so i'm going to have to find something to have for lunch now. perhaps my sultana bran that i was going to have this morning :S

i am frozen in the office this morning. i don't know whether it's just me but the place seems so cold. and usually it's boiling, so i don't know what's going on there...

thanks kirsty dinner time? what's that? i seem to be eating constantly just had a ham salad sandwich at lunch guess i'm in a sarnie mood today

well the office is heating up but i'm still cold. i think it's going to take a hot bath later to warm me through to my bones but it's not as uncomfortable as it was

have been on the phone to the docs to ask about my swine flu jab. i've been thinking about it a lot but i'm going to get it. where my mum lives it has been rather active, and if i want to go and visit her either whilst pregnant or with a newborn (obviously after checking out how active it is) then i want to know that both myself and my baby are as protected against it as we can be. so 10.30 tomorrow morning i'm going to a special clinic they have on to get lots of people through as fast as they can. so lots of really short appointments and extra doctors. i'd heard nothing about it though.

lol at the constantly eating.. I was the same early on too! couldn't eat enough! lol High protein was the 'key' for me.
lol at the coke too.. baby will be bouncing along with you! I joked about Red Bull to DH the other day.. not for now but for during labour! lol I opted for Honey as had read that is good in labour.

ha. well i have a hankering for meat a lot of the time. and cheese, but unfortunately it's the damned carbs that stop me feeling so ill... still. i'm hoping that's all going to pass soon, ha.

is anyone on here opting for a water birth? have been doing some reading up and really like the idea. the only problem being that it might not be available when the time comes...

I've got a 'spa' in my kitchen at the moment lol it's inflatable and is in the box at the moment waiting for DH to get round to pumping it up after sunday. I'm hoping for a home birth with my own 'pool'. It heats up itself but takes a long time so we'll be filling and adding hot water when the time comes - just hope I have enough TIME when the time comes! lol

But.. pool is definately on my wish list. You can't get in till after 5cm dilated though as it can stall you, but is supposed to be great pain relief.

why can it stall you? less gravity helping you on your way?

i would like a home birth but the walls are paper thin. i live in a back to back so that's potentially three sets of neighbours, and possibly half the street being able to hear me giving birth... and i really don't fancy that, ha. plus i wouldn't be able to afford a pool

well here i am again. is anyone else here? have had my swine flu jab and man does my arm hurt!! it's swollen and hot and the muscle really hurts. i was told all the above would happen but thought they were being a bit alarmist. my left arm isn't very useful at the moment as i can barely lift it, ha.

i was sick several times yesterday, gah. and am not feeling too bright this morning, but i've come into work it being a monday. didn't want to feel like i was skiving...

hae also realised that i am 15 weeks today yay and only 11 days until i get to hear my baby's heartbeat again

aww hope you feel better soon ((Hugs))
11 days till MW is a great feeling - as is 15 week! I did a happy jig every week and still do to be honest! lol

well have had to have a re-think on my spa after all my chatting it up! lol it won't fit anywhere!! it's too blooming big!! other than being out on the deck in the middle of december! yeah not gonna happen!!

Water can slow down labour for a while as it relaxes the body and eases the contractions.. which is why it's used for birth - but too early and it just stalls things a bit. So they recommend only after 5cm.

not without stripping out the contents! lol or most of it, and the girls will be home too... and well it could be xmas! lol
Our kitchen is the same size but again 'full' we cleared an area for it, but it's not big enough and MW needs to be able to 'get around' the whole thing too.. Not too gutted it is a big spa - big enough for 4 or 5 adults easily. So not surprised really just been nagging DH for weeks to measure it all out for me! lol I coped pretty well pain relief wise till things took a nose dive after my epidural (I got in a panic having it and never recovered as it didn't work and no one realised etc etc). So without the meds I'll be able to cope and have been using hypno birthing as my 'main' technique. Wasn't sure i'd be able to have water for a long time as mw's weren't too sure on it. - Long story sorry.
Hope the pool is free when your time comes.
