My Mood: Rep Power: 21 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Diet: Cambridge Diet | Fabulous Bea, that's a super gain! Now you know you can take comfort that your boobs are doing exactly what they need to and keep going! The growth spurt only lasts 2-4 days and then his feeds will settle down again! I know its hard but find that confidence to believe in yourself and the feeding, at least if you appreciate and understand why he's feeding all day (and that it's NORMAL!) then you're more likely to carry on with the feeding! My friends baby was like jocelyn - feeding all day until 8-10 weeks, now she's much more settled! |

My Mood: Rep Power: 273 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Diet: Cambridge diet | Hiya, not getting much time for myself at the moment, poor Mark hands Hannah back when she starts crying, would be nice to grab a bath !!!!! Managed to quickly wash my hair last night before she started yelling for food. This breastfeeding lark is hard work........but is worth it knowing your baby is getting the best. Hannah still has the odd moment, mainly in the evening when you are exhausted when the colic seems worse. Thankfully she enjoys her baths.....lol. Hope everyone else is ok.....! |

My Mood: Blog Entries: 4 Rep Power: 12 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Diet: Slimfast Start Date: 04/01/08 | I breastfed both of mine. I always found, especially with Katie, that she seemed to cry none stop at night until she fell asleep - generally from about 18:00 to 21:00. I discussed this with the health vistor/midwife who said it was because the beast milk is not as filling at this time as it has been watered down throught the day. Katie did settle down and I breastfed her until she was twelve weeks old. Good luck everyone. |

My Mood: Rep Power: 7 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I've been staying somewhat quiet recently. Don't get me wrong - the pictures of all your little ones are GORGEOUS (wish there were more of them) - but I'm absolutely scared stiff at the idea of looking after my little one when he arrives. I find tinies very frightening. Possibly down to the fact I've never had to look after one. The idea of crying and all aspects of looking after a tiny is very worrying. I'm really scared I don't cope... |

Hey dont worry, there are plenty of people to help, you wont be discharged from the community midwife until you are ready, also you have the health visitor or gp if you need help. Also we will give help and advice too.......! At the moment Hannah wants cuddles most of the time though I think me laying her on her tummy on my chest helps with the pain. Also a good support network will be great, I dont have too many people around to help. | |

My Mood: Rep Power: 21 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Diet: Cambridge Diet | Ah sarah, its not as scary as you think! One thing I would also recommend is joining a good baby group - the one in the village has done wonders for my confidence as most people have usually hit the same problems you are and it just reassures you that you're normal! Jocelyns colic is a lot worse this evening but we had a lovely night overnight last night, she slept for 6 hours from 10.30 til I woke her just before 4.30! All swings and roundabouts I guess! (where on earth did that phrase come from?!) |
