Bring on the weight loss!
Hi everyone,

Im being extremely brave and starting my pregnancy diary. As some of you may know - I suffered 2 miscarriages prior to this pregnancy so its left me a bit of an anxious wreck!

Anyway - I am now over the 10 week barrier and seen baby via private scans at 8 weeks and today at 10+1 :)

Today baby had a strong heartbeat and was wriggling around! Baby even had the hiccups hehe. Photo below.

I have been signed off work for the last 4 weeks due to being so ill and am contemplating having to take longer because I still dont feel like I will be able to cope back at work yet...I still feel too rough. I struggle just to move from the sofa/bed.

Anyways - off to eat!

Thanks, they are from a second private scan. NHS ones arent so good lol The private lady explained absolutely everything and it was so funny when the baby went from completely still to suddenly wriggling around and hiccuping. Bless <3

Thanks! We're so happy - we cant believe things are actually going well this time! Even now I still get quite anxious/paranoid abuot if the baby is ok!

You mentioned on my other diary that you have low blood pressure. My midwife said mine was low too when I saw her, apparently its quite common in early pregnancy

Yeah mine did too. Explains why I feel I'm about to faint nearly every time I stand up. Hopefully it'll pass for both of us :) when's your dating scan?xx

Yeah exactly. Ive started to feel better the last couple of days and am supposed to be due back to work on Monday. Problem is - I had this before where I felt better for like 3/4 days and then all the sickness etc all came back again. So I dont know what to do re work :-( Hmmmm

My 12 week scan is on 2 July @ 4pm. Because I have had the scans at 8 and 10 weeks privately and baby has been fine each time - Im a lot less worried/panicky about the 12 week scan now. I really do feel like this is my turn now and this baby will be fine. Have to give a lot of credit to the baby aspirin which seems to have got me through this time :)

When is your 12 week scan again?

Hey JoJo subscribing. The scan pictures are brilliant and I'm so happy everything is going well for you. Your 12 week scan is on my birthday lol.

Hope your morning sickness lightens up a bit, its no fun when you can't do your day to day stuff xx

yay :) The sickness has eased off the last couple of days but Im fully expecting it to rear its ugly head again at any time haha

Mine's like that too. I'm more bothered about the dizziness than the sickness at the minute because I'm struggling to even look at the tv or computer without feeling faint. I'm a bit worried in case it continues because it'd be dangerous to take a 999 call on the verge of passing out. Will just hope it goes soon.

Scan is 28th June, a week tomorrow.

OMG SarahLou.. What an exciting job!! (I don't mean exciting fun.. I mean each day would b different)

Haha sometimes it is fun. Especially when drunks ring up. I only take the police ones and the majority aren't genuine emergencies, more like people panicking. I get to have a good argument every now and then too ;-) x

So - Ive been to the doctors today to get more time off.

I saw the most horrible doctor ever (male doctor unsurprisingly). I explained how I was feeling and my symptoms etc and he basically said 'so I guess you want another sick note'. I said 'well yes, I dont feel well enough to go back to work.....' and he said 'you cant keep doing this' (as in...asking for sick notes). I was so shocked at the way he spoke to me and putting me down/telling me off for asking for another sick note.

He had such a lack of empathy and understanding and didnt seem to give a cr@p. He also 'told me off' and said I should be seeing my regular doctor. I explained that all I do is ring up and ask for an appointment like I always do - I dont ask for any particular doctor (although I will be asking for the female doctor now).

I was so shocked I didnt say anything whilst in there but I promptly burst into tears when I sat back in my car and all the way home.

I just cant believe the way I was made to feel. No doctor should be allowed to make someone feel like crap when they already feel like crap enough as it is..and thats why they are AT THE DOCTORS.

He has totally ruined my day and Im now an emotional wreck :-(

OMG that's awful!!!! What a b******!!!!!! I'd call the doctors back up hun and make a complaint that's disgusting!! He should be treating you with EXTRA respect because your pregnant, not the other way round!!

It is isnt it :( I really did feel like making a complaint but from reading the website I may have to go to a meeting etc and Im not sure I can be bothered with all of that extra stress. Not what I need!

I did ring them and tell them to put on my file that I do not want to see that particular doctor again. He was horrible :(
