34 weeks pregnant and got the runs

hi, im 34+4 weeks preg and i think I've caught my little boys bug, ive got the runs, my stomach is spinning, I've only had 3sips of decaf tea this morning and wasn't sure whether to try some toast, my question is, do i have to force myself to eat something for the baby or will it be ok not to? i usually starve myself when I've got the d+s bug to get rid of it,and im confused what to do.

Maybe just eat something plain Hun a piece of toast or something like you said then Keep yourself hydrated with plenty of water and take your prenatal vitamin and see how you are feeling later on . If you start to feel dizzy you could always try eating a biscuit not the best but will keep your sugar levels up xx

If you don't feel like eating i am sure baby will be fine as it will take what it needs from your body's supply. You just need to make sure you stay hydrated so make sure you have sips of water regularly as it's more dangerous for baby if you get dehydrated than if you don't eat. If you feel really unwell call your midwife for further advice. Hope you feel better soon!

Re: 34 weeks pregnant and got the runs

thanks guys I've had a slice of toast and glass of water, I've kept it down and my stomach feels more settled, i just feel weak now, might have a bath and a nap before i have to do the school run, my hubby took our son to school this morning but he's busy at work so can't pick him back up, but a bit of fresh air might do me good, hubby is in the middle of decorating the stairs and the house smells of gloss.x

Glad your stomach is feeling more settled, just stick to bland foods for a day or two and eat what you can.
Fingers crossed some fresh air helps
