I chose Freya Jean for my daughter. Freya was the Norse Goddess of love and beauty so very apt for my family's Viking heritage. Jean is my Mum's name and I liked the sound of the two names together.

I liked Phoebe as well at the time and also Elora for girls.

Eldest Son is a traditional Johnathon after my Grandad and my baby Son is Kamdibe Nathan. Kamdibe being an Igbo name and the Nathan deriving from Johnathon.

Bit of a mix all round really....lol

When I was pregnant we didn't know if I was having a boy or a girl, so we picked out names for each a girl and a boy. For a girl we had Ellie, Chloe (which I still love), and Shannon (which I also still love). For a boy we had Tyler, Shae and Jacob. When my little girl was finally born we decided on Ellie....but it didn't roll off the tongue and it just didn't feel right, so we changed our minds the next morning in favour of 'Jasmine', which we'd never even considered when I was actually pregnant! Haha, strange eh! The name Jasmine literally came out of nowhere when we were sat with her the next morning..I was trying to think of something as pretty as possible, but that could be shortening when she's older if she ever wanted to (Jas/Jaz). I love it, was definitely the right choice

It's such an important decision and I think that when it comes down to it, when that precious little bundle is laying in your arms, you know when you've made the right decision

As for middle names - I love the idea of carrying on my own family names through my children (though I've only got one so far, haha) so my daughter shares my middle name and if I ever had another girl then I'd like her to share my mums middle name, etc etc.

my boyfriend and i have always had a running joke about him having a son called jack, so it would be jack for a boy. we also decided on lola diamond rose (lola for for short lol!) for a girl.

we like poker so jack is obv in cards and so is diamonds. rose is also my middle name. for middle names for a boy i dont know.

names are afunny thing. if you know someone with a certain name and dont like them then it really puts you off. i used to love the name esme then a girl called esme slept with my boyfriend at the time so i wouldnt be able to call my kid that lol
