Please help!
Hey! :)
I have gone from 14st1 to 11st6 (from fri weigh in) since July. Feel like I have done so well. Gave me smoking cold turkey 2nd jan and literally haven't stopped eating. I weighed this morning it said 11st9lbs and yet again have pigged out all day :( gutted :( does anyone else feel this way?? It's making me want to smoke just so I won't feel like eating so much. Helppppppp please :(

I gave up smoking 1st Jan, and also started a diet, so I am in the same situation as yourself.
What are you using to help you stop smoking?
I am using patches, but they don't help with regards to the hand to mouth part of it which is usually what makes people snack instead. So, this time I am using the inhalators, too, and I haven't been snacking at all. Although I am sucking on the thing like it is going out of fashion at some times!
Have you given these a try?

Well done ladies for quitting the hunger will pass ... just stick at it. If you do find yourself going back though I would recommend you try an electronic cigarette first if you absolutely have to go back to smoking. But .. you are doing so well!!

its been two weeks today :)

Nicotine boots your metabolism and reduces your appetite, so it is completely normal to gain weight once you quit smoking. I quit one month ago and have gained a stone! But I'd take a weight gain over smoking any day. That weight will come off super quick. Well done on your two weeks!

well done. If you can keep off them thats great. I have switched 20 days ago to vaping (ecig) and not had any craving and my weight continues to drop. Ive tried everything in the past from patches to gum but none worked for me. Well done and keep at it!

Remind yourself that smoking is a crutch for whenever anything stressful happens. So it didn't have to be a small weight gain, it could have been a bad day at the office, an argument with a loved one, road rage, whatever. just remember to GET ANGRY at the cigarette. It's there to poison you and take your money at the same time. Tell the cigarette to go f**k itself!

hi sorry to jump on your post i want to quit too im already dieting and exercising and losing a steady 2-3 lbs a week my question is if i stick to my plan am i still likely to lose weight or is it inevitable that i will put on weight through quitting regardless as to whether i snack or not?
many thanks
