"Egg" Bread (For Low Carb!) A MUST SEE!

I am a low carb dieter and found this recipe.. it's a life-saver for me.. I use it for everything.. like making FRENCH TOAST or REUBEN SANDWICHES or any type of sandwich for that matter.. I also make these into pizza's! Just about anything you would normally use "bread" for.

    4 egg yolks
    4T. sour cream
(optional) salt & pepp... italian seasoning...grated parmesan// or other desired seasoning

6 egg whites beaten very stiff (about 5-7 min's w/ electric mixer)
    with 1t cream of tartar

    Preheat oven to 350

beat the (real) egg whites (very stiff) witht the cream of tartar

Mix together the sour cream, and the yolks with seasonings

    gently fold mixture together

dump it out onto parchment lined cookie sheet and spread... bake for about 30 to 40 minutes...

slice into sizes you want and store in plastic bag in refrig...

This sounds like the 'bread' I used to make when I was on atkins. No it's not very bready but it's a GODSEND when you need something a bit more substantial - it was fab for breakfast when I couldn't face any more bacon/eggs (toast it VERY carefully and top with butter etc - it's lovely!) and also just to put things on top of, instead of crackers/ open sandwich. If you're on low carb it really makes a difference ;-)
