New girl

Hello everyone

I am kind of here under false pretences. Although I am by no means slim, I am here firstly on medical grounds and weight loss will, I hope, happen as well.

I have stomach hyperacidity and following a particularly vicious attack, I had a small gastric hemorrhage. Small it might have been but it scared the bejasus out of me (and I'm a retired nurse) The hospital put me on a low fat diet and I feel really good, but the regime was a bit boring. I went to see my doctor last week and he suggested I had a look at Rosemary Conley and adapted it to what I can and can't eat. I have picked up some wonderful tips and recipes whilst lurking so I thought I'd introduce myself and hope you'll let me join in.

Love from Rose

Hi, sorry to hear about your health issues, that must have been quite scary to have a bleed in the stomach i am sure if a low fat diet is for you the RC 5% fat will help you , and the good thing is that it will also keep the weight in check at the same time as hopefully making your problems go away.

what i like about the low fat way of eating is that i dont really feel as if i am on a diet, it just means i have to be a bit more self disciplined , which i am working on

hope everything goes ok for you and you see lots of tips to help you along the way .

You've hit the nail firmly on the head Mayy. It's not what you eat, its how you cook it isn't it?... Not the bread, but what you put on it.

I've found another forum Mayy. It is hopping with support and a very friendly place. I can't send you the link sadly, but it is far less 'aloof' that this desolate spot. have a look around and I'm sure you will find it. I won't be coming back here in a hurry
