I am in my mid 60's and a veteran yo yo dieter. I start a diet, fall off the wagon, gain weight, go back on a diet etc etc. Anyway! Today I take control. I have been advised because of my age :)sigh:) and because I fall off the wagon so easily to set myself reachable targets and not go at it bull at a gate. SO... much as I would like to go sole support, I'm being sensible and listening to those who know me and are also having good steady results on STW. Whatever happens I'm staying on this 'regime' (the word diet has failure written all over it for me) until Christmas. I have set my sights on 28 pounds (2 stones) will be happy to get 20 off and feel such a sense of achievement to still be on it at Christmas.
I'm having shakes for breakfast and lunch a meal at night and a shake at bedtime. Anytime I feel peckish I will have a shake instead of something naughty.
Here's day 1 then, about to start. Wish me luck and hope to get tips and encouragement from all of you.
 
This week I'm looking at as 'sea trials'. Identifying and ironing out any problems. I was quite hungry last night so made up a chocolate shake with hot, but not boiling, water and had it in bed as a drinking chocolate and slept all night
 
Talking to yourself is sometimes much more benificial ;)

Dont give up the diary, use it as a base to let off steam.

Well, I'm giving up the diary because I'm talking to meself but will still carry on on the forum
I talk to myself all the time on my blog, but it nice for us to come and read each other's journeys, so if it's helping keep writing! You will b inspiring people and u won't even realise it! Plus it's good to vent it!!
