Hey everyone.
Well as the title suggests this is my third and last! time that I begin a diet of any sort( see the positivity!!!) lol.
At 43 years young I am fed up with my weight ruling my life in every way and I have no one to blame but myself.
Being overweight in fact grossly overweight rules how I feel, how I dress, how I look and I have had enough!
I dont want to be the one looking at people wbo have lost weight wishing it was me or looking at nice clothes thinking how nice it would be to wear a nice pair of jeans without covering up, or hiding from the camera when it appears offering to take the photos. I want to be taking selfies jumping into pictures feeling proud and . most of all I want to be Happy!!!
So sorry for the rant but need to be firm with myself. Nobody made me eat to this size but myself and . Nobody can get it off but me!!
Ilove to read everyone stories on this site as I can relate to so many and so motivating to see people acheiving their goals.
So in 10 months I plan to be the . one sharing my success stories with my ups and downs along the way.
Good luck to everyone on their own journeys xx

Well 3rd day done and dusted and have managed . okay so far. Decided to do 2 shakes and a meal for first 3 days as i had eaten so much rubbish that i was dreading a major carb withdrawel. So i have had an evening meal for the past 3 nights still some carbs but not a lot so ready for Day 4 with just the shakes. Have gradually increased my water the past few days managing about a litre and a half but will go for it fully now and try to aim for about 3 litres a day. Always find it a bit harder when the weather is rubbish. Was working out some Mini goals to aim for as 8 Stone seems a humungous task!!
So Here goes:

First Goal: Sisters hen do 28th February: Lose 2 stone. (16:11)

2nd Goal: Sisters Wedding 27th March: Lose 1 stone. (15:11)

3rd Goal: Concert and Hotel Stay 29th May: Lose 1.5 stone (14:4)
4th Goal: Wedding Anniversary 27th July. : Lose 1.5 stone (12:11)
5th Goal Cousins Wedding end sept. : Lose 1.5 stone (11:4 )
6th Goal. Birthday!! TARGET. 10:12

Giant steps but needs must lol xxx

Long day at work finally over ! Didnt manage as much water as i would have liked about 2 litres i think. Will try harder tomorrow. The fear factor is setting in a bit with the approach of the weekend! Always my downfall area. Traditionally a wee Friday or Sat night in with a movie, takeaway and few wee drinks would be on the cards with hubby but the food i can do without, its sitting down with my sparkling water that will be hard. Hubby cant seem to get the no alcohol jist of a vlcd and i know he will be constantly offering a wee wine or two wont hurt!!
Just hope my resolve will last and i wont give in as i normally do.

Does anyone have any tips for avoiding the alcohol or does anyone take a wee drink or two?
Well settling down now andhoping that the winds wont be as strong as the forecast. I fear a long awake night may be ahead.

Tell hubby that you have joined The Dryathlon for January that might help as it is for a good cause.

Hi everyone :)
I wondered if anyone was taking part in the 'Dryathlon'? Cancer research has put it forward, the aim being that you get sponsors and/or put aside your usual alcohol costs for the month of January then donate it.
I have decided to take part quietly, ie. No sponsors, to support a family member who is doing it.
Though I don't have a problem with booze, I do enjoy it & therefore will find this a challenge! It will be good for my losses and health overall and I'm looking forward to it.
I thought it might be nice to speak to anyone else taking part to cheer each other on :)

I find weekends tough and it is best to try and keep busy if you can...each weekend that you have stayed on your diet helps make you stronger.

You are doing well and almost have this week done and dusted and just think how proud you will be of yourself when you step on those scales and see the results.

Hi,
I'm in my first week of my very first VLCD. started on Monday and can't wait until next Monday to see if it's all been worth it.
Keeping busy is defo the key when you feel hungry. I was starving at work today at about 4pm but worked a bit later and went straight to see my parents and got in at 9:30pm, didn't feel hungry at all by then so today I have only had 1 soup and 1 bar ?

Good luck for Monday Mrs B i am sure you will have a great loss x
So far avoiding the weekend urges. Feeling a bit headachy but will up the water a bit. Weather so crap wild and windy so wont be venturing far today x

Thanks mini. I always find weekends tough but your right my first weigh in will give me the inventive i need to push me on x Roll on Monday Morning x

Well survived the weekend but had 2 shakes and a meal as really felt i needed something. Totm due so thats probably
why. Weigh in tomorrow but wont be as much as shake only.
going to try for shakes only this week coming to keep momentum going xxNight everyone x

First weigh in this morning and have an 8lb loss so delighted with that. Had a gradual reduction eweek as i call it with 2 shakes and a healthier meal. Wasnt particularly watching the carb count as i was just initially trying to cut down my overall intake. Now going to embrace this week with a full week of shakes do SS all week. Feeling quite positive today and about to have my second shake. Any tips for water volume? as i do struggle with my water quota when its cold. I have to constantly remind myself to drink!
Weather still rubbish but hoping that it will be a bit dryer this evening so that I can get out for a walk with Tara(my wee terrier). Walks over the weekend were kept to a minimum as I thought I would lose her to the winds! lol so heres hoping for a better night tonight. x

Well done Martine, that's a great loss!

I sat and watch my family eat take away on Fri night and went out on Sat night and stuck to lime and soda. It was my mother in laws bday on Sun and we went to the local chippy, so I did have fish and chips tested lunch. It was SO nice and just having shakes all week, but u was surprised how little I could eat before feeling full.

Weighed in this morning after my first week and 9lb down!!!

Really pleased with that, so going to the gym tonight and looking forward to a 100% on plan week.
Would love to lose 5lb this week to make a stone in 2 weeks but know it usually slows down after the first week.

Thats great Mrs b and I am sure that you will be able to do 5lbs this week, that would be great getting a stone in. fortnight.
Totm started tonight so i would love to get six off next week for my stone as well. Heres hoping a wee extra pound or two of water weight will come off by then as well xx
Its always hard watching others eat and not have anything. I also have to cook every evening for my hubby and 2 boys as they dont cook lol x
I tend to make dinner for them for half six for hubby getting home and then take the dog out for a walk whilst their eating. Come back when their finished and relax with my shake xx
I usually work late one night during the week so that tends to be their takeaway night so i am not tempted. Well thtas the theory anyway lol x

Is it all men who are inconsiderate or just mine!! You would think that at least for the first few weeks that he would keep the snacking to a minimum or out of my way but nooooooooo. A giant wholenut and 2 packets of pickled onion ghrough silent witness he has scoffed and even the dog had acouple of her choc treats!
Oh to be able to eat lik that and never have. a weight problem, thats my hubby xx

Well that was the longest journey in to work this morning. only work 10 mins away from home (in the car) and thanks to the fast and furious snow fall this morning took me nearly two hours and two new tyres into the bargain. Why does my work have to be set on ahill on a country road!!. At least the suns out now and looks to be melting away. Must say it does look beautiful out side on the lawns like a winter wonderland but not very practical!!
On the diet front 2nd shake about to go down and feeling okay. We extra walk up the hill this morning into the bargain so keeping on track. Hope the weathers okay for everyone with no mishaps. x

Day 2 of ss done and feeling good about that. Came home from work about half five and prepared the dinner for the boys. A lovely gammon joint that smelt heavinly in the oven lol x. Kept busy by stripping and remaking 2 of the beds, tidying the teenagers room , did the washing put away the clothes then put the dinner out for the boys. Tara and i got wrapped up in our winter coats as the snow has returned with a vengence, and managed a half hour walk before my ears began to freeze. I really need to get a hat for our walks. Dishes all done, shake consumed and sitting down now with my last water bottle.
Much easier not to think about food when im busy lol.
Looking out the window at the moment and must be a good few inches of snow there now. Looks like i will be walking to work tommorrow if that keeps up, dont want another morning like this one. Scary to feel your tyres go from you and have limited control! Anyway that would be a wee bit extra exercise for me as its up and down hills to my work and roughly 2 1/2 miles there. Lets just hope that the snow is not too deep though xx

What does everyone do with regards to exercise? I've heard some people say it stops weight Loss when on a VLCD but I thought all exercise helped?

I have read that too but I think that your own body will tell you. I dont think i could physically do heavy exercise as i would be too . light headed. But i try to do a fastwalk for half an hour a day and also do 10 mins on the vibration plate. Used to do swimming the last time i did a vlcd but still too cold for that yet lol x Surely even for the general health and skin toning benefits exercise should be good for everyone xx

I'm really struggling this week. Had 1 meal in the past 10 days as just been living off shakes and now I'm craving people's lunches!
Still sticking to my STW soup but finding it hard.

I've stuck with it today, just had a shake for my tea and got a chocolate one for later to make into a yummy hot choc as a treat.
Just packs my gym bag for tomorrow. Fingers crossed I can get through this tough patch.

Best of luck. Keep thinking how well you will feel with another good loss. you could be a stone down in two weeks!! Weel done on sticking today and keep mentally rewarding your self for every good day xx
