    Talking Ellie 1968 - My Diary ............

    Dear diary

    Well started SnS yesterday - i got to the stage that whilst i am perfectly healthy and feel (fairly) fit - others around me are getting problems with their health - at my age ! - so i had better do something about it .....

    LL - thought of that - but last time the maintenance aspect disappointed me so as I think that it may be the crux of this diet thing i need something else.

    SnS - I like the VCLD aspect so think this will be it - wider range of foods than other VCLD and as cheaper, I can save the pennies toward my re-eating phase and any help I made need at that point (hark at me - already thinking I will be successful in ridding myself of 10 stone)

    So decision made - food now arrived - sample box - so it will be a surprise what to have (lots of choice though )

    2 days in - am liking it already ..........

    Mushroom pasta - nice but may need to add seasoning - and watch it doesn't run over so use a large jug ..
    Spaghetti bol - nice again - perhaps use a bit more water -
    Milk choc truffle bar - absolutely gorgeous ......................
    looking forward to the next few days

    i feel good after 2 days - and am liking peppermint tea again - (need to check out the Twinnings and citric acid thing - can I use their herbal teas - they dont contain it .......... ummmmm )

    Weigh in Monday - Boots - and add ticker (and check out Ketosis sticks .......?)

    Well - had the weigh in at Boots (am aiming to go each Monday to keep check on my progress) - strange though:
    - the machine was v loud - got worried after a few moments that when the machine was telling me what to do and what buttons to press would then speak my weight !!!!! - that would have been amusing NOT !
    - also - it measured my height using some thing over my head and tells me I am now 5 foot 6.1 inches - i have lost 3 inches - now where did they go ??????? (or has my weight actually shrunk my skeleton - oh noooooooooooooo !!)

    I have body fat of 50.2 % - and for my age/height and excellent body mass score is 25% - so I have to lose half of me ................ - a bit of a sobering thought there .........................

    Other thoughts of the day - made macaroni and cheese with way too much water - but made a fairly nice soup - loved the hazelnut shake - but not really sure re the nutty bar .............

    However - still feeling v positive and already thinking about what to order for the monthly order i will do Weds night ....................

    Hi. Sounds like you're doing good so far. Takes a bit of tweaking to get the meals how you like them but they're great! My mushroom pasta always spills over!
    Starting weight (this time) somewhere just under 10stone...can I get under 9 stone in 5 weeks time???

    Well - if a SnS person saw me make my meals - I suspect they would not recognise them - had the mild curry as a soup today ( because is some strange moment - that is what i thought it was !!!!) - think i may have to stick to shakes and soups - boiling water then mix seems suddenly to be the maximum amount of preparation i can manage ....................

    Had the cafe latte shake as a hot drink but luuuuuuuuuuuuuurvely indeed - must remember not as hot water next time - suspect it took more that the required 10 mins to cool down enough to drink - but suspect this may be my winter warmer emergency meal ......

    Had bad head today but suspect because still got toothache and not re diet - am def keeping the water intake up, to the extent that am sure skin looking good - or at least better

    Onwards and inwards (around the waist prefereably)

    Toothache sorted

    Actually managed to make all packs properly today - feel an amazing achievement !

    Saying that - had the cookies and cream shake as a mousse - and it was lovely - v nice indeed - vanilla shake warm in the evening which was also nice

    but still feeling hungry - continue with the distraction techniques ................................

    Busy day - but helped with the diet - think the hunger is subsiding - had 4 packs again today.

    Got some coke zero - just for a different taste during the day whilst at work, but drinking loads still - and weeing loads ...... (but am just thinking of all that fat flushing away

    Not felt hungry today so feel much better about that, had spicy spaghetti which was lovely - so feel like getting into the swing of things a bit more. Am sure my wrist is slimmer as watch feels looser he he

    Ummmm - having confidence dip - but am determined (in the terrier with the bone state of mind) - am working on the distraction techniques and definitely need to keep busy. Strangely enough am loving food on the TV and it not making me hungry at all and feel i can watch it fine (i call it food porn) - but when am out and about or stressed, thats when i feel like i feel i could make myself feel happier or better or more comforted with food - and what if I just kind of thoughts .................

    Grrrrr - damned mid/brain !!!!!!

    I have ordered some books off Amazon - About the Beck diet - considering following some of their techniques - will keep everybody updated regards my (mind) adventures ..............
