    This is going to be my year!

    Hi everyone!

    I am new to S&S but not new to VLCD's or dieting as a whole. Over the past three years I seem to have become a serial dieter without even realising. I started dieting aged 19 at 15st 13. My biggest success was on Cambridge where slowly but surely I got down to 12 and a half stone. I gave up Cambridge eventually as my head wasn't in it anymore and tried various diets including WW, SW and JUDDD. All of them I lost a couple of pounds on but lost interest after a month or so... With every diet I'm so raring to go at the start then I lose motivation rapidly. I really need to find a way round this!

    So now here I am, aged 22, 14st 4.5lb as of this morning, with a wardrobe full of beautiful dresses all in a size 14 which are all too small for me I am determined to lose this weight once and for all. I don't want another year of no holidays and dreading summer because of my size. I don't go out much because I feel so huge, and I just want to be like any other normal 22 year old!!!

    I ordered my first S&S packs this week, and was going to start on Monday but I'm considering starting tomorrow because I am just ready to get going now. Ordered some shakes, bars and food packs (quite excited to try these as never had anything like this on Cambridge).

    My brother is getting married on 8th Feb, so my first goal is to lose a stone for the wedding. I have a gorgeous dress I've bought which fits but is a bit snug so will look good if I'm a bit lighter. Then my next goal is 12.7 which is the smallest I got to on Cambridge. I still felt massive at this size, but looking back on pictures from then I don't look bad at all. Then my next goal will be 11 stone (I've never been lower than a size 14 in my adult life so no idea how I will look at this weight?!) and then final goal is 10 stone.

    So:

    Goal 1 - lose 1 stone by 8th February
    Goal 2 - get to 12.7 stones
    Goal 3 - get to 11 stones
    Final goal - get to 10 stone

    Breaking it down like this doesn't seem too daunting!

    hey im the same as u 23 years old but never enjoyed clubbing or anything like that due to my size. i would start tomorrow while ur head is in it, my problem was always saying ill start monday then it neven happened plus the sooner u start the more you would have lost for your brothers wedding good luck and will be following as today is day 1 for me so am keeping myself busy on here lol

    Haha I live on here when I'm dieting!! It's always quiet on the weekend though I have just moved to the city centre so I've not got an excuse to go out and enjoy myself now so want to get to my goal ASAP! How are you getting on with your first day? Going to decide what I'm going to have tomorrow out my packs later, I am strangely excited lol how sad!!!

    i always get excited before i start, sit and sort out my packs lol. first day not going to bad normally cave by 3pm and have passed that and feeling good, getting a bit sluggish now need to up my water a bit as only had half what i need.

    Day 1 today. Was up really late watching telly cos OH went out, and I've not long since woke up!!! I never sleep in late!

    Going to drink some water and wait as long as possible before having my first shake...


    Oh also I am 14.3 and a half this morning so taking that as my official starting weight.

    Had a choc shake earlier, and just had a dark choc truffa bar. The shake was nice, not overly chocolatey, and just tasted milky but didn't have the weird taste Cambridge shakes have. Also the choc truffa bar was lovely!! Really small though that also just tasted like a normal chocolate bar and didn't have the weird salty diet taste Cambridge bars have either. Really impressed starving though!!!

    Just made the curry and thought it looked rank but it was nice!! Had it with mushrooms and broccoli and really enjoyed it. I'm stuffed now!

    Day 2 almost over.. Been pretty hard today

    Had latte shake this morning. Was ok, didn't taste of much so going to add coffee next time. Drank loads of water, 2 coffees and a peppermint tea at work, and had an vanilla choc bar thing. Like a Milky Way it was lovely!!! Had my shake before I left the house at half 7 and don't get lunch until half 1 so I'm really going to struggle in the mornings. Afternoon was ok though. Walk home was effort!!! Just kept thinking to myself 'you can have a glass of coke zero when you get home' haha!

    Fancy tomato chilli for tea with veg can't decide if i think ill feel better or worse tomorrow...

    Tomato chilli was quite nice. Had it with broccoli and garlic and some fish as my protein.

    Just read the thread about being allowed SF jelly. Checked the pack for citric acid and there is none got some in the fridge now!

    Hello! I'm on day 3 now and boy am I feeling it really struggled to walk home from work and I've been laid on my bed for half an hour cos I've got no energy haha. What about you?

    Day 3...

    Been ok through the day. Had a vanilla shake with a spoon of coffee in for breakfast, a choc praline bar for lunch (was ok but not my favourite so far) and 2 pepper mint teas, 2 coffees and only a litre of water so far. Going to have some more water now.

    Really struggled walking home from work, got no energy at all! Currently in my pjs on the sofa

    Weird thing about S&S - every time I did Cambridge, the first 3 days whilst getting in to ketosis I got dull headaches, and on S&S I haven't had any? Very odd...

    lol know the feeling im on day 4 today and am knackered all day till it comes to bed time then im waide awake, hopefully that will improves that one of the things i was looking forward to starting this diet being able to sleep at a decent hour.

    Was really not in the mood for a meal pack thing for my tea but made the spicy spaghetti and it was really nice!! Don't think ill order the curry or chilli again but definitely the pasta. Yum yum
