    New beginnings.......

My sample starter pack arrived and I started Slim and Save yesterday and was 100% Whoop Whoop. I had three shakes and one bar. The shakes are a bit chemically for my taste but manageable. I have drunk loads and am thinking I might take shares out in Andrex!

Day 2 and still 100% and still drinking. I think one of the secrets of losing weight with this diet is all the running up and down the stairs to the loo! LOL Today I've had 4 shakes. I will try a soup tomorrow. I haven't tried any of the packet meals but not really liking the sound of them I don't fancy eating something with a baby food consistency.

Feeling extremely motivated and have not missed food as much as I thought I would. I know that I won't be in ketosis yet, but I'm not really feeling hungry, I guess this is due to the initial excitement of commiting to this diet. I have not experienced any other side affects so far. All in all a really positive start.

I've spent lots of time looking at the forum posts and they are really motivational. So thank you everyone who takes the time to post. Also thank you to those who have taken the time to answer my questions.

    So onwards and inwards......

Day 3 and still 100%. Yay Genuinely not feeling hungry. I even resisted my son's birthday cake!!!!

I tried the soups today (vegetable and chicken), they were palatable but not overly strong in taste. I might try to boost the flavour next time as has been suggested by others with some herbs or seasoning. It was quite nice to have something warming and savoury given the weather.

Also made my own frappuccino - Vanilla shake, coffee and ice, mixed with a stick blender. It tasted really lovely and I tried to image I was part of cafe society as I sipped it and read my magazine

    Bring on day 4.....

Well done for starting-you'll find your own favourites and ways to Enhance flavours as you go along. Just want to let you know that the meals are not baby food consistency at all tho-te mac n cheese and mushroom pasta have actual pasta in, an the spag Bol and chilli are really nice. Be worth a try-especially with some extra veg x

Great stuff! Little tip-leave the pasta dishes to soak in water for 5/10 mins before cooking x

Day 4. Mid morning in the office and the biscuits started doing the rounds. I would have usually dived in with the rest of them without hesitation. This presented an additional challenge as I haven't told anyone about the diet yet. Fortunately I had a S&S lemon bar in my bag, so I had that. It was quite tasty along side my coffee and I didn't feel like I was missing out!

Varied day of packs today. For lunch had the tomato soup and strangely my lips tingled at first!? For dinner I tried one of the meals for the first time. Had the Spag Bol which was a better texture that I had anticipated. Finally had a vanilla shake that I made into a coffee frappuccino - Yummy!

Boosted my fluid intake with peppermint tea and plenty of water.

    So 100% again today.

Hi, welcome to S&S! How are you finding it so far? I don't find the shakes too chemically tasting but they definitely grew on me as I got more used to them so hopefully they'll grow on you too Good luck!

Day 7 is drawing to a close and I've reached the end of my S&S sample pack. So my end of week conclusions are that I really disliked the meals, but found the shakes, soups and bars okay. I've not been feeling hungry as such but the weekend has felt more of a challenge. I think this is largely due to the family being at home with meals and treats abound. I'm still drinking plenty.

I've not yet weighed myself this week but am confident that I have lost weight as I have stuck to the plan 100%. My top tummy feels much less bloated. I'll be weighing myself every Monday.

I've ordered another batch of packs so bring on week 2.
