Thread: My Belly Fat Mission!

Hello all
I already have a diary on the silver members section, (well ive had one everywhere lol) But i am starting s&s for a month, and will need lots of support ( hopefully from you lovely ladies and of course from my lovely minim's friends) So thought i should make another diary here for this journey.

Abit about me... Been dieting for a year now, managed to lose 5 stone, 1 by myself, 3 on s&s and 1 on atkins. I started at 15.10 stone and now i am 10.10 (well maybe more to 11 now but i will find out soon enough!)

Basically i get married in malta 14th september this year, And for my size now after losing 5 stone i still have ALOT of lower belly fat just hanging there all disgusting i hate it so much!! I decided to go the docs to see if i was right that there was alot, and yes i was right, aswell as the doctor comfirming that, he also told me it will not shift without surgery :O

So yes i am mortified, gutted and devastated to say the least.. After the initial reaction of..."Eff dieting im giving up whats the point if i cant get rid of the one thing i hate about myself, im just going to eat what i want!!!" .... Ive now decided to do my damn best to get to my target and pray it shrinks! So to start this mission, I am doing a month of s&s!!

When i last did s&s i flew through it, first 8 weeks i did so well, determination was through the roof, but then the last 2 weeks i lost all motivation, I have tried another 2 times to do s&s again and failed miserably! But hoping this news will push me on to get another stone off!!

You get married on my birthday, a very good day to get married

You've lost such a massive amount of weight, it's amazing! You've done so well. 2 stone isn't really that much weight to lose, you'll be there in no time if you stick with S&S, which I'm sure you will

Did the doctor give you any advice on what to try and do about the hanging fat/skin? Have you tried different toning exercises?

Nothing much the doc could say as I already go the gym, classes, had a personal trainer and use creams lol seem to be toning under the fat, but the actual fat won't go, I mean it's shrunk after the 5 stone but not as much as it should of :-/ annoying!!!

How long ago did you lose that 5 stone? I know it can take a while for your skin to shrink back. That's my biggest fear you know, losing the weight and then having loose saggy skin everywhere. Really hope that it sorts itself out for you. Have you tried slimming wraps? I tried one this week, I was very skeptical, but it actually worked amazingly well! I lost inches but it seemed to tone up the start of loose skin on my inner thighs. I can send you a link if you'd like to look. I was so amazed I considered becoming a consultant for them haha I just don't have the time though.

I've been doing it for 5 weeks, 6 weeks on Wednesday. I've been 100% the whole time but ended up having a day off plan yesterday. It was planned though, straight back on plan today! I've been with my boyfriend a year on the 8th of March so we're going away that weekend, will be off plan then, but then straight back on plan until I reach goal after that! He lives in Manchester like you do, hoping to move there this summer.

Here's the weird thing... I have no loose skin! Even the doc was suprised!? I have the usual 'bingo wings' and plenty cellulite on my legs but no loose skin.. Yet lol . my lower belly is just pure fat that isn't going, it's very odd!!

I have looked at slimming wraps but thought they maybe a waste of money! Where did u use the wraps? Yes pls I'll have a look

Oh so it's literally just fat? How strange!!! I thought the wraps were a waste of money too but tried them after a friend recommended it. I measured the widest part of my stomach just above my hips, my waist and just under my bust before and after. Lost 11 inches!! Was something like 6 after just half an hour when I took it off, 8 by the morning and 11 on day 3 as they work for 3 days after. I'll send you a link by PM.

We're only going to Blackpool! lol Found a great deal, 2 nights in a nice hotel, breakfast both mornings and dinner both nights for £89 so went for that. He recently bought a new car and we're going on holiday to Tunisia in August so cheap is good! Well I live down on the Welsh border, about 110 miles away from him! So too far Hopefully not for long though

8 months til your wedding! Bet you're getting excited? Is it starting to sink in yet? Why did you decide to get married in Malta? So many questions, sorry lol

Ahhhh wish I could say I was excited lol had such a nightmare with it the past 6 months I'm only just recovering from that lol it was originally Portugal, basically because we have been a lot and know the area but after keep going out trying to arrange it I gave up! (we never cared which country tbh we just wanted the weather lol) Aswell we made the biggest mistake ever wen planning your wedding, we was trying to do it around all our guests so they could be there, big no no!! Anyway I ended up going to first choice and basically just telling them to book me a wedding!! I chose Malta because it looks absoloutly amazing, right up my street! Found a gorgeous hotel blah di blah and I wanted to get married on a sat, just before I was handing over the money I saw in small print it said 'weddings take place Monday-Friday' so I questioned them and they was adament I could have mine on a sat, anyway I made them ring the weddings department and check and I couldn't!! They just wanted to Get my money grrr!! So ended up not booking! Contacted the hotel myself in Malta and I'm now doing it direct through them
And then to top it off once I'd booked and paid for it OHs dad started moaning saying he didn't want to go or stay there and we should of consulted Him before we chose a place!!!! LOL unbelievable!!! Sorry that turned into a little rant there lol xxx

Well this weekend is literally each as much as I can before I can't eat for a month lol I know I shouldn't but... If I get it out my system I'll be dying to detox and not wnt to eat crap

Hi Steph

Have you considered that ultrasound thingy that zaps your fat away. I remember someone last year who swapped from S&S to a very similar diet but also included ultrasound zapping. Not sure if the zapping works but nothing ventured nothing gained.

Morning

Well not the best night/morning! My son only just recovered from a bad case of chicken pox and scarlet fever and now he's throwing up everywhere! Poor little man he's always poorly!

On the plus side, started low carbing yesterday in prep for starting s&s and think I'm already entering a light ketosis I do go into it quite quickly! And I've dropped 4lb of water weight overnight! Was 10.12 yesterday now I'm 10.8.

Looks like I'll be starting s&s tomorrow now as my packs are only arriving around half 4.

Packs have arrived wooohoooo!!!! The bars are so much bigger now!! Loads of things have changed!
