Goal Garda!
I'm going on holiday on 10th May & would like to lose as close to 3.5 stone by then as possible.
Today is the end of my first day & I weigh 12 stone 5! I've kept busy today & haven't struggled too much though I called my fiancé a few names for bringing hot warm crumpets in the room tonight!
I've dallied around with loads of diets but something has clicked, I've got a lot to lose & want fast results. I'll maintain through sensible diet & exercise
Xx

3.5 stone by May is achievable if you stick with it, which you sound like you will. I found that for me too, eventually something just clicked and it was so much easier. Good luck!

Lost just under 3 stone on various diets in 2011-2012.

Thank Caz, it's hard to get your head around the fact that much weight can be gone in such a short space of time. I know how much it'll change my day to day life so it's quite remarkable really.
As you say, you really need that "click" moment, I've lost 3 stone in the last 2 years but its been a really long hard slog with lots of ups & downs, I've felt like I've been fighting myself whereas I had my 28th birthday on Friday and I just thought right that's it, it's got to happen now.
I've saved the River Island app to my phone & have saved the bikinis that I want to buy at goal to my favourites. Finding looking at them is a great motivator! Xx

Is it 3.5 stone that you want to lose in total or that before holiday and a bit more after? I've just bought a size 12 bikini (I'm a 16/18 at the moment) for when I go on holiday in August. Going to hang it on my door or wardrobe and keep that as motivation. Though not sure if I've got the confidence for a bikini, I'd like to though!

Yeah it's 3.5 stone in total, ideally by the holiday mid May too. If I'm close & just a few pounds away from goal by mid May then that would be fine but I really would like to be at goal so I can go on my holiday knowing I've done it.
I know what you mean about the bikini - I've had a baby who's 2 now so not sure if I'll even be able to wear a bikini at 9 stone but we can see.
Hanging it on your door is a great idea, I just keep thinking how lovely it'll be to feel the sun & warm sea on my skin instead of covering up in a kimono that covers the most lumps!
How much are you wanting to lose to get into the size 12? X

Where are you going on holiday? I completely understand what you mean, I'd want to feel like I was there and had done it before my holiday too.
I'm sure you'll look great in that bikini and will be able to enjoy the sun and warm sea. Hopefully I'll be able to too!
I've never been slim, the last time I was this weight was when I was about 15 which I'm a bit ashamed of! I've got 74lbs to lose in total, I've lost 20 so far with another 54lb to go, so just under 4 stone. I'm a 16/18 at the moment so I'm hoping that'll get me down to a solid size 12.

I'm going to Lake Garda & Venice for a week each back to back. It's the first break outside of the UK in 2 years & I'd love to go being the slim jim I've always wanted to be!
You're doing really well, how quickly have you lost the 20lb - was it all with S&S?
I'm sure you'll look fab for your holiday too!
Do many people in your personal life know that you're doing this diet? I've found I feel really private about it, I kind of just want to get on with it & let the results show for themselves.
Where are you going on hol?

Hang my head in shame!
I had a good first week & lost 4lbs but then I got really poorly with the flu, I'm never ill & decided to just listen to my body & rest & eat. I'm completely fine now & have kept the 4lb off but not lost anything further.
Back on plan today.
8.5 weeks until my holiday, I don't expect to be at goal by then but to get as close to 10 stone as possible is the goal. X

Re: Goal Garda!
Well you did really all not to gain anything back. Don't be too hard on yourself
