Shedding the lbs to find myself again ....

Hello All

Right I can't count the times I written this introduction but I can tell you now this is the last time I'm writing it. I want this diary to be my most honest diary. So here goes.

Facts about me:

Age: 23
Height: 5ft 3
Job: Project Manager
Living with bf of 3 and a half years and puppy who is 18months old
Bought our flat a year and 4 months ago
When I met my bf I was a size 10 .... I'm now not!!
Weight: not sure!!! I last weighed and was 15.2 if I'm now 16.7 then I wouldn't be surprised.

So, the reasons why I'm doing a VLCD and not SW or WW etc. I'm a comfort eater, I eat when I'm sad, happy, angry I eat to comfort myself when I've eaten too much!!!! How silly!!! My relationship with food is not healthy!!!! I need to take good out of the occasion to deal with my own issues. I'm 23 yet I dread if friends ask to go out whether this is to go out clubbing or cinema or anything! I dread it!! Now for the really personal stuff my bf has noticed I'm not happy this for me is mortifying!!!!!! We aren't close as we used to be and this is down to me I hate him even cuddling me at the moment because I'm scared of what he will feel and that he won't like it. This is just killing me because I'm not a cold person and I am a very loving person but this weight has turned me into a cold person because I don't want people to be close to me.

So.... 1st January for me is my new start, 2014 is my year to be me again and to find myself. To find my fun side again to go out with friends and bf again. 1st January will be a bad day as I'm weighing for the 1st time in ages so I won't be happy but my plan is to weigh in then go for a lovely long doggy walk to clear my head and get my head in the game for s&s. I've tried this diet before but didn't succeed because I wasn't in the right headspace. Now I am.

My daily plan will be to have oatmeal, lunch will be protein and veg so tuna salad or something at work - we are all like sisters at work so I don't want them to see a VLCD pack not because I'm ashamed but I don't want to be watched and constantly asked how much have u lost etc I want them to go OMG you've lost weight. Dinner will be a pack then a bar with a cup of tea in the evening. Yum! I've ordered 140 items with some drink flavouring too. Literally I am not stopping till I get to goal.

Finally .... My goals. I want to have a "healthy" BMI. This means for my height I should be between 8-10 stone. So I potentially have between 6-8 stone to loose. I would probably like to be 9-9.5 stone but I'll see when I'm there. My biggest goal Is to reach my end weight and stay there. I am making a promise to myself that this will happen. I have to put myself first I need to look after myself. I will walk every single day I have booked to do the moonwalk 13 miles in May so that's something to reach for.

So that's my story!!!!

Would love to have suppose and help/tips from anyone.

There's a lot of us about for support, this is my final time too. Started S&S beginning of Nov, lost 2st so far (gained 4lbs from being off over Xmas) and now back 100% S&S to get the last 3 stone off. Good luck xx

Sounds like 2014 is gonna be your year!! Great stuff!!
Only tips I can offer is distraction! Especially the first week. Chug the water down. And do anything possible to make this diet work for you.
For me - I'm a boredom / evening eater. So I hold out as long as possible all morning before having my first pack and then really space them out. So I always have a pack at the end of the day to have before bed so I'm not hungry or get the munchies while relaxing in the evening.
Talk to your bf about how serious you are and how you need his support. I couldn't have done it if my hubby hadn't supported me. He sulked a few times about us not going out for dinner and not ordering a take away - but remember this diets not forever. Plus it's about how you are feeling in yourself and why you want to change.
I felt guilty that he was 'missing out' on social eating things because of me. But I managed to put myself first - and let's face it - he's certainly not sulking now that I have more confidence in my clothes and also in the bedroom ;) sorry for tmi!!
2 more things - Use a blender/hand blender for shakes-makes them yummy and frothy!
And dear god - use fibre fibre fibre! Ha ha!!

You'll be great and will feel super in no time!

When u say fibre ..... Do u get the one from s&s?

Yep I use the SnS fibre. If things get bad sometimes a coffee gets things going! Lol. Otherwise if it gets super baaaad then a senoknot can do the trick ;)

Soooo NYE day before 2014 .... My year to become slim!!!

I went to tesco earlier and seen as it's my last supper day I thought right what shall I get for lunch but I just didn't get anything it's official I'm so sick of food I just did not want anything!!!!

So I stocked up on broccoli, asparagus and mushrooms to have with my spaghetti and chilli meals yummy!! I also for fizzy water so I can have that and the water flavours !!! Yummy!! Also got some coke zero. Will limit myself to one can a day if that!!!

I got my delivery so I'm all set!!!! Very excited now.

I already have plans that involve food, 2nd my sis is coming home from Plymouth - haven't seen her since last christmas!!! Mums doing jacket potatoes and salad so I'm gonna pick up some salmon on the way or take some tuna and have that with salad instead. My mum will understand completely she's about the only person I can be honest With! She's done lighter life so also knows and understands how these diets work. Then it's OH mums bday Friday they are doing a champagne evening - I'll just drive so won't drink and if there's food I won't be hungry. Saturday we are going out to dinner for his mums bday, it's an all u can eat type restaurant that's like Chinese Indian pizza like seriously the worst place to go to!! However I will have two packs in the day then go there and have protein and salad. They have a station where they cook fresh meat so that's my saving grace. People are always up and down getting food anyway so no one will notice me not having my normal huge pile of food.

Tonight me and OH are going for a six course meal which I'm looking forward too main is fillet steak!!! Yummy!!! Then home in our onesies to watch we're the millers with champers and choccies!!!

I'm so determined to make this diet work for me!!! Theres no getting me off track!!

Wow drooling over your six course meal and the all you can eat place I don't think I'm strong enough to go to one of those while on plan kudos to you!!

Enjoy tonight and good luck for tomorrow. It's quite exciting getting all the bits in to restart isn't it!

If only at midnight you could walk through the smoke like on stars in their eyes into the new year and the new regime !

I think if I hadn't had Xmas and ALL the food I've eaten recently then I wouldn't be able to cope!! Lol!! But now I'm so fed up with food!! That I can manage. . . Just and then hopefully feel quite smug :)

Omg I wish that happened!!!! Would be sooo good wouldn't it!!!
