Slimville here i come.......... My diary

Today is the eve of my diet starting, I have been lurking in the background for some time contemplating if I could really live on shakes, low carbs and water - last week something went off in my head that said yes! So here I am an all or nothing person, going to give it my all.

I love carbs but eat far too many of them for convenience in fact it's all my diet consists off; toast, potatoes, rice, pasta, more pasta, cans of coke, more cans of coke and chocolate, this keeps me fuelled on the go for my 14 hour a day job, I have no salad, veg, water in my diet at all and can't cook to save my life...... So slim n save was ideal just mix the shakes or add the water n some veg to a meal and that's it.

I am on the slimming train as I soooo need to get my confidence back, I have put on 5 stone in 4 years due to my eating habits, throwing myself into climbing the career ladder and now my job has taken over my life as it's the only thing that gives me confidence if that makes sense.

So the trigger of the yes in my head last week was for these reasons just so I can remind myself of them, when / if my willpower takes a dip:

* I want to the lose the family nickname of 'fats'
* self confidence - I hardly look in the mirror, been single far to long and I put it down to my weight..... Lack of confidence meeting ppl
* i have spent a fortune on stuff that I will wear when I slim down


I have rambled on a fair bit, will certainly use my diary to keep me occupied and on track - here the woes begin of my journey to slimville xx

first few days suck but when those scale start moving boom its like magic :D

So day 1

epic fail on water intake - I had a meeting from 8 until 2, drank 1 litre prior big mistake, peeing all the way through my meeting, done a few pee dances now I think I will be referred to occi health for having a rather weak bladder! Then had a dark choc bar and the slim n save salt n vinegar crisps came home had a shake and some chicken pieces

tomorrow mantra is to try and drink more water and set a routine for shakes, meals etc at least day 1 is out if the way roll on next few days when I hit the ketone zone!
 
Hi ya and welcome!! :)

Distraction is key and spacing out the packs will help. You'll find a system that works for you. I'm very much an evening eater so I tend to wait as long as possible for pack number one! Usually around 10am I cave! Then number two around 2pm and number three around 6pm and then I can indulge in either a hot frothy shake or a dark Truffa bar around 9pm with my book in bed (doesn't always work that I get to bed then :( but I try!!)
These diaries are great for hints and tips and motivation.
Water is your BFF on this diet! ;)

Day 2 to slimville

today I must of yawned a thousand times in the office - all I wanted to do is curl up and sleep, this has to be the most unproductive day I've ever had. Surely this can't go on! I've upped the water intake and have got through 2 litres which is a success as yesterday was on zilch.

Ive be had a shake around 10am then chicken salad for lunch, now I've had a bar and shake and am heading for my bed which is a first for me. Hopefully I will wake up tomorrow with some bounce x
 
So day 3...... Happy valentines day!

I don't feel as tired as I did yesterday although not entirely on the energy train. Today I've guzzled 2 litres of water and so far had a choc mint shake and a 1/2 packet of slim n save cheese n onion crisps. Tonight I will have some chicken n veg! The real test of the willpower will be the weekend as I have family over who I am sure are feeders, cook lush food and will be surrounded by temptation but will have to get used to saying no as that happens every weekend - roll on monday!
 
Great that you are already thinking long term about how you are going to manage. Usually when people understand how this diet works and that you can't easily have a meal off and start again, they are more understanding and less likely to stop you. I usually lay it on a bit thick about how difficult it will be for me if I cheat.

So halfway through day 4

Good news is no family gatherings this weekend which means no temptation, I did call my mum earlier and told her I am doing slim and save explained what it is and got a big lecture on 'if I just eat healthy, smaller portions and cut out the crap - I will lose weight' rather than taking such 'drastic action' and then being 'unsociable' - I asked her to be supportive but don't think it went down very well. Considering she is always telling me how fat I have gone I would of expected more from her. Argh!

So far, I have had my first shake of the day along with a litre of water, off to arrange my wardrobe now, need to keep occupied!
 
Hi, well done on your start :) hang in there, it gets so easy after a while!

I am restarting on Monday after regaining all the weight - I went back to all my bad habits! Hopefully I'll learn this time!

Day 5 in the slim mission house!

Today has been non stop cleaning since 12pm and I've only just sat down, I polished, dusted every nock n kraney, bleached, rearranged wardrobes, sorted my cupboards, 3 bin bags of clothes to go to charity shop - I've even had the paintbrush out touching up marks on the paintwork - I'm probably going to regret it all tomorrow but seem to have had a spurt of energy today.

I have only had 1 wafer bar, just about to have some chicken n salad and will have a double shake, surprisingly though I do not feel Hungary although my stomach has been making some strange noises today.
 
Sounds as doe ur in keto hehe yaaay well jel for the energy burst lol i cud do with one lol nt lukin forwrd to goin to wrk tmo the weekends go by waay too fast for ma liking ? tis gna b easier frm here on :) x

Well after the cleaning fairy shanningans yesterday I've woken up to a number of aches and pains that I never knew existed!

Day 6 and still going strong had a shake for brekkie, babybels n salad for lunch and had another shake this evening - I am really struggling with 3 packs and a meal so have resorted to ordering some slim and save crisps to beef up the calorie intake - I did think I would chew my arm off so this doesn't seen natural to me at all.
 
Day 7 and weigh in day

I'm a bit disappointed as I've only lost 6 pounds was hoping for a bigger loss in my first week when I compare to everyone else's losses - I've been 100% some days I am drinking a couple of cans of cold zero and some days I'm drinking a litre of mixed Ribena plus along with lots of plain water I'm not sure if this has impacted my losses feel disheartened but not going to give up as I am well and truly on the road to slimville but thought i would see a higher number this week
