Kat's journey to slim...
So after a small 'non-scale' victory today I thought I really should start a diary of my own.
A little about me. I'm Kat and I'm here to shift my post baby weight. Sounds honourable doesn't it? Not just as good when I tell you my babies are 4 and 2!! Sleep deprivation has a lot to answer for, always leads me to the biscuit tin! :rolleyes:
Before I had my first baby I hovered around 9-9.5 stones. After having her I hovered around 10-10.5 stones. After my second I got up to 11 stones 11 lbs and stuck :eek:
So after an uncomfortable summer last year, I decided to get on with doing something about it. So in September I ordered 4 weeks of s&s (after lurking on here and seeing that it worked) and gave myself the kick start I needed. It was great, take food out of the equation and let the diet do it's magic. I lost 1 stone 3 lbs in that 4 weeks and thought it was a fab start. I then followed the 5:2 diet and got down to 9 st 12 lbs by Christmas. Then Christmas happened, then complacency......then weight gain....
So I'm back to s&s to get to goal this time. I started at 10 st 13 lbs. I'm just about to complete week 3. I lost 8lbs the first week :D I'm trying not to weigh until the end of the month as I can obsess a little and any sticking or fluctuations might tip me off track.
I'm feeling great so far, just starting to branch out with veg and lifestyle days. Long may it continue.
Oh and my victory today - I'm back into my rather small, non stretch size 12 jeans :woohoo:

Hi and welcome. I waited a while before I started my diary but it definitely helps access a lot more support once you start. Well done on your loss so far and good luck with getting to goal soon.

Well ok a vanilla shake mixed with fage yogurt, but it's like cheesecake without the base! Really hit the spot. And oh so filling. Worth missing the milk in my coffee for.

Thanks. I agree. If I'm honest although I have a goal weight in mind, I actually have a goal pair of jeans I want to fit into. If that happens to leave me above my goal weight then so be it, I'll still be over the moon :)

Oh dear, not feeling hungry is great however, as I was so busy at work today I've managed to miss lunch! :eek: I've had my tea, but still have 2 packs to fit in! Feels a bit daunting as I'm still not hungry!
Must try harder not to miss my packs!

I've had a good day food wise. I'm aware I might be in the minority but I love the the rhubarb and custard shake, they're definitely going on my next order.
But my goodness I've a bad headache today! :( I'm sure I've drunk enough water today too.
I thought it was weather related at first, we've had a thunderstorm here today, but it's not eased now that's passed. So I'm going to bed with some more water in the hope it will ease by the morning.

you are doing so well - it wont be long before you get into those jeans
just remember to reward yourself for the milestones you do reach - just not with food :)

Super busy with work. I came on last night replied to a few threads and then forgot about my own little diary.
I actually I'm feeling super sorted with the diet. I just feel like I have clicked with it really well this time. Don't feel deprived or anything.
I'm actually looking forward to weighing at the end of the month. Hoping to be in the nines. I know it's not a massive goal, but I do appreciate that as I'm now in the overweight category my losses will be slower. But the way I look at it I will definitely loose every week, steady away, something I would not definitely do with any conventional diet.
I now have a date to aim for. I have a hen do to go at the end of June. I believe we're going to an Italian and then on for a boogie! I'm going to see where I am at that point and if I like how I look I may use this as a time to re-feed. I'm then toying with the idea of using s&s packs and follow a 5:2 diet to finish off. But we'll see :rolleyes:
So at the moment I have a date to aim for, which also feels good. Keeps me focused on a goal.
That sounds like a good time to aim for. You could well be done by then!! You are definitely in the zone.
Thats reli gd hun tht uv gta date to aim for its the same with me iv gt me cuzinz weddin 6th july n nw i feel like im on a raxe against time lmaoo even tho strted like forwver ago lool....ur goal sounds gd n realistic hun :) keep it up n its wen it all clicks into place thts the best moment eva :) xx
