From Exante to S&S...

I started S&S yesterday after previously trying and not getting along with Exante.

I am finding S&S much more enjoyable and easy to cope with than Exante. The shakes I've tried so far are yummy, the bars are like real chocolate treats and the meals are pretty good too. Today I had cookies and cream shake for breakfast (which is great if you have a sweet tooth like I do), a dark choc truffa bar for snack (yum), spaghetti bolognese for lunch and veggie sausages with vegetables and slim noodles for dinner. This doesn't feel like a diet to be honest! I am loving it.

Am drinking like a fish. I try to have 3 cups of green tea or tumeric tea a day plus 2-3litres of water. It does help.

Anyway. I am hoping to shift just over 2 stone with S&S by the end of the year. I've never been slim...even as a child I was overweight/obese. I want to be a good example to my kids and not have them struggle with food and weight like I always have. Oh, and I want to look good in a bikini also. ;)

Really motivated as I would love to get a breast lift for my hanging baskets (honestly, my breasts are like a 70 year olds and I'm only in my 20's) at the end of the year and also for me and hubby to start trying for another baby next spring. So that's what I am working towards. Feeling very determined. :D

Today has been another easy day. Tried 3 new products (Bannoffee porridge - loved it, very sweet and filling. Lemon Yogurt Shake - blended with ice and milk so it was thick and like a nice milkshake, with a subtle lemon taste. Praline bar - just like a real chocolate bar) and had a nice dinner of egg, veggie sausage, slim noodles and lots of spinach and cabbage.

I haven't had any cramps today thankfully. Had a long walk around the park with my friend which was my exercise for the day. Got my son ice cream and didn't feel tempted to eat any. Crazy, seeing as I was a chocoholic/huge sweet tooth before.

I can't wait to be able to wear sleeveless tops and skirts. Was humid today and I wore long sleeves...:sigh:

Woke up feeling like death today. Dizzy, nauseous, weak...got downstairs and had to lie on the floor until I could force myself to get a bar to eat in the hopes of making me feel better. About 30 mins after the bar and lots of water I started to feel a bit better and was fine for the rest of the day. Perhaps my body getting used to the reduction in carbs/sugar from my diet? IDK. But I hope I never feel that way again!

The day was ok food-wise. Tried the chilli con carne meal for the first time today and it was really nice. I actually prefer it to the Exante one, but you get a lot less in the serving which was the only downside. I got some diet cream sodas from ASDA - zero carbs and only 2 calories per can. They taste lovely and I look forward to making it my nightly treat after putting my son to bed. Much nicer than coke zero which I find yucky.

Forcing myself off the scales until Wednesday to see how much weight I've lost. I started my period the day after I began this diet though, which makes me think I may not have as great a loss as I could have due to water retention. Considering booking a holiday for October, which is making me even more motivated to stick to this diet. Can't decide where yet, debating between Portugal/Spain/Tunisia/Egypt...hmmm. We'll see. Am getting excited at the thought of frolicking around in a bikini without looking like a beached whale though.
