Slim For Summer 2015

KBQueen

Yummy Mummy in the making
Hi all,

Back to get some of the weight off in time for Christmas. I left a while back after losing 3 stone and stayed the same weight for 6 months until I injured myself and couldn't exercise. I have gained a stone since July and decided to come back to SnS to get back on track until I can get back to my exercise properly.
Starting tomorrow and I'm nervous and excited at the same time

Hi Jewel,
I wanted to say nice to see you back - but that doesn't really make sense on here does it!
Sorry to hear about your injury - I hope you're ok.
I too have been using exercise for maintenance and injured my archilles heel which left me for 7 weeks hardly able to walk. It's amazing how much exercise really was helping because as soon as I was unable to move the weight really started to creep up.
Massive well done to the 6 months of keeping it off. It's a big boost to realise our hidden potential in keeping the weight off.
What's your plan for now? Are you attacking this naughty stone that's come on or are you taking it further into the fresh fat zone and going for more? ;)
How's everything with the house / kiddies etc?

Xx

Hi Sammy, nice to see you again, sorry to hear about your injury, it's a pain in the bum when you can't keep up with exercise. I sprained the ligaments in my knee at kickboxing and only rested it briefly and carried on with exercise and made it worse. I ended up not being able to do kickboxing or go to the gym so the weight crept on. My knee isn't completely healed but the doc said it can take up to 3 months so I'm here to take advantage of not exercising and get the stone that I put on off as well as fresh fat as I wasnt at the weight I wanted to maintain at anyway.
How long have you been back? You have done so well staying in the 9s, that's the weight I want to get to...9st 7lbs. Today is day 1 for me and I'm surprisingly enthusiastic :)
Kids and house are fab, we have settled really well here xx

Just wondering - did you exercise whilst on sns? I am torn between not doing anything for a while or whether it's ok to exercise. Last time I did Cambridge I didn't exercise at all but I do miss it when I don't but not sure if it will make me too hungry....

I started exercising towards the end but found I needed more food for energy which is why I stopped SnS last time. I'm not going to do any exercise this time until I start the refeed x

Blimey, I forgot how hard this is! Day 1 done -

Breakfast - choc shake
Lunch - mint choc bar
Snack - caramel shake
Tea - Spag bol

Water - 3 litres

Thank you Clinquant, have a lovely day too xx

I just made my first shake of the day, caramel shake but instead of having it cold I've put some coffee in and made it into a large latte. Yuuuuummmm, will definitely be having more of these x

Hey there... Gotta say... Very similar story here... Lost 2.5 stone with slim and save few years ago.. Been up and down with a stone or so gained and lost over past two years.. But I too got injured recently (just over 2 months ago) and I think I used it as an excuse to just eat more. So I'm back to start weight or maybe more!!

Anyways this is my day 7... I'm using exante packs but also have some slim&save ones.

I used to exercise a lot.. When I first lost the weight on VLCD I just walked, I only exercised a lot when I upped my calories as I read too much about the body using muscle when you are doing a high intensity workout. From my understanding, low intensity, so anything that doesn't increase the heart rate into the cardio threshold, is ok, so things like walking. I am tempted to try a little jog though!

Anyway just thought i would say hi and I'm with you in this!

Hi Tamzy, long time no see, you still maintaining? x

Hi Lara, it's so easy to let the bad habits slip back, I have to try get my head around that and realise that I can't eat like a pig when I'm not exercising. I ate so much junk while I was doing kickboxing/gym because I didnt gain but all I was doing was working hard enough to stop the junk food gain. I need to retrain my brain.. Good luck on your journey x

Yep same here really. I trained for the marathon and was also doing bootcamp classes, but actually ate relatively healthily as I was so busy with all that. I am very all or nothing so as soon as exercise was not an option I started eating and all the rules went out the window!!

Hi hun, yeah ive been maintaining for nearly a year now but as of today i started on a mission to get another 8lbs off for my holiday to jamaica in december which will take me to 9.12 but finding it difficult as ive been eating really high carbs and up to 4000 calories a day but i will try my hardest lol. Well done on getting through day 1 xx

Needless to say my lack of posts in the last 2 weeks speaks volumes, I fell off the wagon on the 3rd day :-( I decided I needed to get my head round what I was doing, get some bars ordered then start again. So, tomorrow is day 1 again. I have my packs sat out ready and bottles of water chilling in the fridge. Here we go!!

Thanks Tamzy, got to do it this time. I've bought an outfit that I want to fit into by Xmas so that's my motivation x

Good luck for day one. Sounds like your head is ok the right place x

Thanks Lara, looks like you're doing very well x

Good luck KBQueen! You know you can do it. It's true though, you do have to be in the right place mentally. Looking forward to reading the rest of your progress x

After today I will have done 4 weeks. I had a failed start where I got up to day 6 and messed up before that. I really did not think I would make it. But I have done 4weeks. If I can do it you definitely can xx
