Hi,

Well, I'm no stranger to a VLCD and Slim 'n Save in particular ;). Over the last two years I've lost around 5 stone (on and off) on a VLCD and gained two back:mad:! I've decided to start a diary in the hope that it will motivate me. I've had countless false starts but then again, I've also done it twice successfully! I just need to get my head in line and get past the first week then I find I can stick to it 100%.

Today is day 1 for me. I'm off on holiday in 7 weeks time and would ideally like to lose 1.5 stone by then. I know it's possible if I stick to plan 100%. I have cleared my social calender besides for a party on Saturday which I can't get out of but will be on plan as I wont eat anything there. A week before my hols is our company Xmas do and there I have absolutely no way of staying on plan but I will make the best choice possible on the evening.

My biggest struggle is the water! I loathe water:sigh:!! I can never seem to make 3 litres and barely make 2 a day. I've tried the water flavourings too but I still find it hard. Am going to try and have more tea and coffee to try and up my water intake.

So far today I've had porridge for breakfast, mushroom soup for lunch and dinner will be cottage pie with some quorn mince and allowed veg.

Hi and welcome back. Doesnt work for everyone but here's what I do to take in a lot of water....in the morning I make up a caramel or hazelnut shake with a litre of hot water, I froth it up using a hand blender and it's lovely, that's one litre straight away. I do the same at night with a choc/mint choc shake so that's 2 litres. Other than that it's just a case of trying to down some water throughout the day. Good luck on your restart x
 
Thanks for the great tip KBQueen! I'll give it a try for sure. Yesterday went OK though I struggled a lot:eek:. Hey ho, weight loss is never easy and I keep reminding myself that it will get a bit easier once Ketosis kicks in! I have decided to buy a size smaller jeans and hang it in front of my wardrobe door for a bit of inspiration!! Desperate times calls for desperate measures...lol!!

Today I'm having Oatmeal, Vegetable Soup for lunch, Cottage Pie with quorn mince and allowed veg for dinner.

Onwards and downwards....

Good luck on the restart. You've done it before and will definitely do it again!

I used to hate water lol! Now I (force lol) drink a pint during the first hour of waking, 1/2 a pint before and after a pack, and space the other pints during the rest of the day. I notice if I don't drink that much water, my losses are pants. Have you tried the water flavourings, I've got the Orange and it's quite nice x
