Thanks kelstar![]()
I can't add anything but my sympathy. My dog years ago was thumped by a car, cost a lot of money but made a great recovery! I have my fingers crossed for you and hope all goes well!
What a lovely muddy doggy pic!

I'm glad to hear that your dog made a fully recovery, it's not cheap! But when it's your dog you'd pay anything to have them better!
Yes! I would have given my left kidney! Didn't do pet insurance in my day...Originally Posted by sliminthecity

Oooffft, I'd be selling my kidney on eBay right now if we didn't have the insurance! I always feel like insurance is a big scam but so glad we got it!
He actually crawls through it army commando(sp?)style!! Lol thinking about it![]()

I'm glad your dog is doing well. I am thinking I should get insurance for my dog.

Thanks, I would really advise it! It's horrible to think but accidents can happen so easily. Charlie's treatment is costing around £1200, if the insurance pays out we will only really be paying £120 plus £65. It's a massive difference to us x
I agree. Insurance seems like such an expense each month but it is so worth it if something goes wrong. Our dog poppy had cancer and a skin condition 4 years ago. as she had the skin condiiton when we rescued her we couldnt get it covered by insurance and it cost us almost 1.5 k in a year but as we had the pet insurance when we found the cancer it was covered - thank goodness as she had to ahve a number of operations and it would have been nearly 3k for that. We were devastated when she died but at least we had done everything we could. I now make sure I always have insurance for the 2 doggies, molly and bella, that we have now.

Aw sorry to hear about your dog Poppy but like you say you did all you could xOriginally Posted by Kelstar

If you do get insurance make sure it's lifetime cover, not annual cover otherwise if your pet has a recurring problem they'll only cover it for a year and then you're on your own. Annual cover is maybe ok for an acute injury / illness but for something long term you need lifetime cover so that the insurance will pay out for life, and when your pet has to have daily meds that can cost quite a lot.

Hi, How's he doing?
Need to get my head in gear. Not in the zone.
Slimming world for a bit to try and get my eating under control.
Sorry for the late reply! He's doing greathe's home and getting stronger every day. He's having to go to vet every other day to get dressing changed, vet feels happy that he will walk on the paw again but the paw will
Always look a bit different. I'm so pleased
Thanks to you all for the support![]()
