    Carbs

    Could anyone tell me when you count your carbs on mfp is it the total carbs that you count and is the aim between 50-60gs? Per day for keto?

    Yes it's total carbs but true fibre (unfortunately you can't rely on MFP to tell you the true fibre content) does not affect ketosis except in very large quantities.

    With MFP because the information is often added by users you need to ensure that the item you select has all the nutritional info there, and that it is correct (or pretty much).

    Also the amount of carbs it takes for you to go into ketosis can vary from person to person. It would be very unlikely that below 50g you wouldn't be in ketosis, or that over 100g you would be in ketosis. I know that for me, less than 75g and I will be in ketosis.
    I look back at those photo's and think "why did I think I was fat?". Thyroid be damned, I will be thin again.

    4/12/12 (again...)

    Thanks for that, for the last 2 days I've been in the 50's so I'm hoping that's good enough as I'm starting to get hungry!!!
