Oh poor man, he probably thought he was being helpful by buying his own junk and not asking you to do it. I've cleared out the veg chiller bits at the bottom of the fridge for my OH's junky bits then I can't see them, maybe you could do something like that, or have a box in there with them in? Mens heads work differently and he probably really does genuinely think he's being helpful and supportive, if it's not what you're looking for then I'm afraid you're going to have to spell it out to him what you expect that support to be.
And the clearing it all out thing - do you cupboards too - it feels amazing!![]()
