Tea!
Hi everyone :)
Just wondering if anyone knows if we are allowed flavoured teas? When I did Cambridge we were allowed leaf teas but not fruit teas because of the sugar.
I love drinking tea and sometimes have chai as I only need the tiniest splash of milk in it - am I still allowed chai tea?
Also I tried drinking green tea as I really like it but it upsets my stomach so I can't have it :( my friend recommended peppermint tea as an alternative. Is this allowed too?

yes herbal teas are all fine, not fruit tea. I head chamomile isnt ok as its a flower tea not leaf..
rooibos tea is a great bedtime drink, nice with or without milk, nettle tea is amazing and its good for the liver (which gets a bit tired when we're in ketosis)
I also get upset stomach from green tea, especially on this diet, it had made me sick previously!
Its great as a bit of milk is allowed, I keep forgetting how much! but im sure its enough for a few cuppas
not sure about chai, depends on sugar content (if any) and citric acid I would think

Thanks! I'll buy some nettle tea too :) I am not entirely sure what's in chai ill have to look it up. I hope we can have it because its so nice!

nettle is really soothing, I think chai has a blend of spices but some brands may add extra bits, we have a green tea at work with manuka honey though which Ive no idea how they get it into a tea bag.
