I've had that on my first week it's either the concentrated vitamins and minerals in the packs so add more water or drink water before you have a pack and your body will adjust to it.
Or sometimes my body has a clear out
Me too. I wondered if it was bypassing constipation....?
It's normal and usually settles by the end of week two. It has several causes: mineral increase, reduction in 'bulking agents' (e.g.carby fibre), if you quickly increase your water intake etc etc.
I haven't had any issue with constipation, but put simply less in = less out.

I thought it was the orange flavouring for the water that I'd tried that day, but could be normal day 7 explosions for everyone :o

I had this too! :o In fact, I had it so bad I was in agony on Friday and practically collapsed on the bathroom floor. My mum reckons that it's because I've gone off so many of the packs that I'm basically just doing shakes and bars and the high liquid content is the problem... Haven't had it since Friday but if I have it again that bad I might see the doc. Has anyone else had this pain? I also feel sick most of the time on this diet (into week 3 now).

Thanks iwillbethingagain - I didn't realise there was that much dairy in the packs? So could it have made me intolerant to lactose then? :sigh: Sometimes when I'm on the treadmill too I get these awful stomach cramps. Could be related?

Most of the protein comes from dairy sources, it is why it is suitable for veggies but not vegans.
I can be intolerant to dairy, only in large quantities but it can be nasty!
I'm pretty sure I'm lactose intolerant but I have been fine on the milkshakes :/ I also didn't think they'd be so much dairy as I don't have the milk allowance :/ so let me know if it is that as I'll have to try and stay of the shakes a bit more x
first ingredients in almost all the shakes is: Protein blend (skim milk, calcium caseinate) or: milk proteins, caramel powder (milk cream, small milk, sugar, butter).
Hmm can't complain I've been fine :) I'f I drink milk normally I'm really I'll! X
Thanks for all the help guys, I had it for a couple days but obviously there wasn't a lot there but it was uncomfortable and I almost got caught short a couple times but today it seems to have died down.

2 weeks then it calms down. Im only in this diet for a few months so its worth it.
