It's funny how different people are isn't it? I find it really interesting. I know I don't really fit the 'a stone a dress size' category, takes a little more for me. There are bigger gaps between the bigger sizes though. To go from a 22 to a 20 you might need to lost 3-3.5 inches but for a 14 to 12 it'll only be 1.5-2. That's why it's harder to find well fitted clothes when you're bigger.
Sugar_face sizes depend completely on the store. A 22 in Asda will be complete different to a 22 in New Look or Evans or anywhere else. Wish everyone would just standardise sizes!! If you google the store you mostly buy from with size guide (e.g. asda size guide) it'll tell you different measurements for different sizes. Doesn't always quite work out though, I know I've measured at home and then had to buy a size bigger than what the size guide says. So I usually add an extra inch to what they say just for comfort!
