Having a very lovely life
Hello

Is there such a thing as a list of what topic types to post where? Lots of stuff keeps getting moved into off topic recently, and to my uneducated eye they are about life on S&S, so I'm a bit puzzled as to why they keep going.

Perhaps a guide will assist us all?

Hmm I've just noticed now you've said, what a stupid idea! Dunno why they cnt just be kept there! Everyone forgets about the 'off topic' part! Xxx

There's just to many topics it gets confusing.

My post about valentines was moved even though it wasn't off topic it was about what your all going to eat on valentines day. :-(

If its not directly related to S and S and following the plan it's off topic. It's not just 'life on' the diet so discussing valentine plans etc isn't dire toy s and s related. Admin put a lot of thought and work into deciding sub forums. You'd be surprised how many threads get highlighted to us cos they're in the wrong section :)

All the diets have OT sections.

The valentines thread was about plans on valentines night with people doing a whole host of things so no it's not S&S diet related as such. Some of the other diet OT sections are brilliant :)

Well I think it's stupid lol most dont check them especially new ppl who arnt sure of the site, and I don't out of habit lol just think the newbies may miss out. Anyway never mind!!

I have to say I disagree with the move of the Valentines thread. I took it to be that the person who started the thread was not primarily asking what activity we would be doing on Valentines but more how being on s&s would alter our valentines day. For example, because being on S&S are we changing how we would normally spend valentines or are we being creative with our packs and protein to allow us to have a romantic meal. Newbies to the diet dont necessarily know all the tweaks and doctoring we do so we can adapt ourselves to social situations etc. I know for one I would have not known about things like swede chips and sunday roast dinners if the likes had been moved to off topic as I would think food in itself is definitely most on topic.

Well have to agree to disagree. Its not as clear cut as just food being off topic. Thats not the case and the fact you found those things in the main forum is surely an indication they WERE on topic. There's a big difference between people discussing what food choices are allowed on the diet and will keep them in ketosis to comparing notes on what were doing on valentines day. There are lots of food related threads in the main section.

Unfortunately if people choose to only read one sub forum of their diet section then they do run the risk of missing things. It doesn't take long to have a quick flick through the other s and s forums.

You never know what gems you might be missing :)

I still don't understand.

My thread was not about what your up too on valentines others posted about that I started it asking what your going to eat on valentines I'm just not good with words lol.

My choices for that day is slim and save food choices (ok maybe not sure on the steak bit) but still.

What about all the other threads like Pepsi max and weigh ins etc? Hmm

And I use my phone like many others and I can't seem to work out where the sub forums are and I been coming here for years.

I'm off to finish painting lol.

The thread said 'what are you doing for valentines day'

Maybe it has been in the wording.
Pepsi max thread is someone asking advice if they are allowed it on the diet Therefore it's directly related to the diet
The weigh in ones should be in the weigh in forum if not they'll be moved
I can't actually see any weigh in threads not in the weigh in forum

The sub forums are at the top of the page on the app they're kinda unmissable. The layout is the same in iPhones and android. It's always been laid out like that

Ok just because I worded it differently my thread got moved even though it is directly related to the diet.

Never mind.

I've just re worded the title. Sorry but I'm not good explaining things or working things lol. But if you read my op it is diet related. We can eat suede so I am making suede chips etc. other posters made it off topic. It's their fault!! Lol.

And beat me down but I've found the sub forums on my phone lol.

I guess its a matter of intetpretation. Ill ask admin for a definition im possibly not explaining it well but the main forum is for threads directly relating to following the diet. S & s related queries or problems.

The off topic is easy enough to find if threads are moved

Thanks Starlight :)
