Hi I have previously lost a lot of weight 6st on another VLCD that involved a counsellor. I have regained over half the weight I lost (life stress and financial worries) :( and I feel dreadful. I want to go the VLCD route again and thought I would try this. Question - on the other diet, I allowed myself 3 cups of tea with a dash of semi skilled milk a day and still lost the weight. I know milk is a contentious issue on these diets and wonder if any of you still have a proper cuppa.

Also what do you recommend in terms of shakes and bars? Thanks

Hi, yes you have a 150ml milk allowance per day on S&S. Everyone will recommend different shakes and bars as we all like different tastes so might be worthwhile getting samples to see what you like first x

hey thanks Jewel. I am amazed by the selection. There is a taster pack for just under £28 consisting of one of everything. Works out a £1 per serving if you have four a day. It's for newbies. Think I'll order it.

I think the sample pack idea is great as it lets you try everything including packs you wouldn't normally order then at least you'll know what you like before you make your next order x

Hello! I too did a different vlcd years ago where milk was a big no no. I struggled but did it because that's how it was.
When I found SnS and was allowed milk I could've cried with happiness!! Lol.
It's great - you're allowed 150ml of semi skimmed OR skimmed milk every day.
I stick to skimmed, but withers allowed as long as you log it into planner you can see how your carbs and calories are doing with it.
I have a few lovely cups of tea every day and it's really great!! Has definitely helped keep me on the rails too.

Also instead of milk allowance you're allowed 100g of Fage Greek 0% yoghurt. If you mix some lemon water flavour into it you have a yummy yoghurt treat!
Does mean sacrificing a cuppa but occasionally it's worth it!! ;)

Xx
