Anyone here not doing S and S but something similar?

Just wondering if everyone here is in slim and save? I know there are a couple of other companies with pretty much the a same products but they don't have their own forum here so thought I'd see if people are just joining in here instead?

Feel free to join in here - I have to confess, I lurk on lipotrim and cambridge too when it's quiet on here... All the vlcds are v similar. Plus I'd be most interested about learning about others.

How long have you been vlcd-ing and how's it going? Which company are you using? Any good?

Re: Anyone here not doing S&S but something similar?

I think maybe a general vlcd forum would be useful, as you say they're all pretty much the same really. I'll be starting again on 2nd Jan using The SML Diet, I think they're very good personally. I started on a vlcd about 3 years ago and lost 3 and a half stone but had to stop as I was a student and couldn't afford it, I tried again at the beginning of this year but really struggled to get into it. Feel more in the right place for it now though so thought I'd try again. What about you?

I've done it before but never for more than a week...always really struggled with the head stuff. This time, I have a different job (teacher) so am finding the weekdays much easier as I'm so busy. That and having a very short term, imminent goal (struggling to fit into my salopettes for a skiing holiday) has seen me finally make it to two weeks, and I'm currently in the zone, so hoping I'll make it til Christmas.

Ive dropped 13lbs in 13 days, and would like to drop another half stone before Christmas.

Not oth sure what I'm doing after Christmas yet.. I'll have about a stone and a half to go, but would like to resume eating and running...not sure which diet I'll follow. Tbh, might come back to S&s as it's so quick!

    Hi Caz,

I think that's why there is a thread just called "Very Low Calorie Diets" On the main thread for everyone following a VLCD, so we can all share information.

I think they just like to keep the diets separate as even though VLCD'S all work in the same way they are all slightly different as I am on 4 packs, I know girls who are just on 3, and my dad is on a vlcd plan were he gets 4 packs and 2 snack bars a day so I think it's just to stop any confusion x

Yeah the threads have been really quiet lately I think it's with a lot of people falling off the wagon with Xmas fast approaching, personally it's what's keeping me on track as I know I always gain loads over Xmas so I want to try and minimise it this year although I'm already dreaming of Xmas dinner!! lol .

I bet they will get really busy in January with everyone starting their New Year diets!! lol x

The general vlcd section are for things like shake that weight and sml who are new and dont have many people on it or for general vlcd questions usually from people starting out

Exante and S&S started there and as they grew there was a need for their own forums

If the others take off im sure they'll get sub forums too

Yeah now that I've spotted that there's a general one I'll probably just use that. Though I'll probably have a read on here still as it's very very similar so might still be able to get or give extra support at times.

I'm doing Lighter Life as I have a really lovely group I go to but buy SnS spicy spaghetti and bars for a change, but the LL boards are dead and everyone here is really supportive. I started a diary here.

Hello DM, I remember you too. That was my thinking too, it's exactly the same but just wanted to make sure I shouldn't not use it here. Really hope 2014 will be our year, faffed about far too much!
