Just placed my first S&S order!

It's going to arrive Tuesday, I'm so darn excited!

Which plan do you all do? As this is my first time I was thinking lifestyle might be my best option? But then won't it take a lot longer to go into ketosis and start losing?

Decisions decisions!

Hi well done on ordering and taking the first step... The next week will be the hardest so u need to get through it and it gets a whole lot easier after that!

As far as I am aware both plans will make you get into ketosis at the same rate due to ketosis happening when you don't have over a certain amount of carbs :) I'm mixing the 2 up at the moment until iv gotten through this first week x x

Hi pumpkin2000, I am just having 4 shakes, water and green tea. I do not think that I would be able to cope with 'normal' food at the mo, but I am sure you will get success with whatever plan you decide on. Good luck, keep busy and remember why you are doing this. Let us know how you get on. x

Hello! I look forward to you joining us :)
both plans will get you into ketosis at the same rate, and the weight loss is pretty similar too. I've started on 4 packs, but if I feel the need, I will have 3 and a small meal. It's 6 and half a dozen. I know some people on here do a mix of both for a bit of variety.

Personally Id say if youre just starting go for simplicity. Takes the food angle away and gets you in the VLCD zone.

I do simplicity apart from a Sunday when Im at my mums for dinner :)

hi well done on taking the first step, I think starting with just packs gets you into the way of the diet and then adding a meal later when you feel ready is best. I only have packs but I think that maybe sunday I will add a meal as I always do a chicken dinner for the family, or if we HAVE to go for a meal like with work of a family event then your ok to gave a meal as long as its within the rules. That's the great thing about this diet you can make it work for you.

I agree when you haven't ever done a VLCD/S&S before then maybe try simplicity to start with and go from there. You can always change later on or even switch between the two. Both will get you into ketosis because of the carb level as long as you're sticking to the allowed stuff/amounts.

I have done S&S twice and most of the time I followed lifestyle but some days I had 4 shakes instead and no protein (so lifestyle). I just went with what I fancied on each day but majority of the time did lifestyle.
