Giving slim and save a go

So for 4 months I have been struggling with 5 kilos to get back to the weight I feel comfortable with. I am a bridesmaid in a few months and I have now decided I want to loose a stone and a half. I have decided to do slim and save as I got some packs in the post to try and they were not too bad. Just ordered got extra quick delivery and will start on Sunday hopefully. Will see how it goes, but dreading it immensely. Need to do this though as a black work skirt I absolutely used to love has got snug and unwearable. I have fallen off the wagon big style will always struggle with my weight as it comes on quick and is difficult to shift but I don't wna be were I was 2 yrs ago just before I did my first VCLD stint and I am headed that way again if I don't nip it in the bud.

So it's stop and reflect time. It will be hard no doubt but with some determination I am hopeful I will start liking what I see in the mirror again. Wish me luck....Xx
 
I did exante and it worked. But weight has started to creep on again so decided to try s & s...packs arrive tmrw, just need to get to day 5! Hoping will get easier after that...everything is crossed!
 
So today is the day my packs arrive. Although dreading it, quite looking forward to seeing what the products are like. I may even start today and have something low carb for breakfast!! I have warned everyone I am probably going to be crabbier than usual:) my DH was here when I did exante so he will know what to expect. He's a complete and total enabler though and didn't even notice when I piled on the 20 kilos that made me unhappy in our first few years of being together. I feel bad when I tell him off for encouraging me to eat more! He knows I am unhappy though and even though he isn't 100% for me going to extreme measures again he is supportive. So ready to do this. Here's to success on slim and save!!
 
So it's just before 10 am and my packs have arrived already so even though I have had some tea with skimmed milk and sweetner (I have not had sugar in hot drinks since 2013 and exante!) I have made my first shake with a large glass of water and will start today!
 
One thing I struggled with previously on VCLD was with the infrequent bowel movements. So much so that I am convinced exante gave me more of a tendency towards constipation even after I stopped...in an attempt to stop this happening I have stocked up on some medicines from boots to help me out in that department. Sorry if this is TMI:)

1st shake was strawberry and white chocolate it was nice so far so not disappointed but quite hungry already. Will have some water and try to delay next pack for another hour at least.. Maybe a bar...wooohooo:) for now a tall glass of water....
 
Lunch was spicy spaghetti and last pack was spaghetti Bolognaise. Preferred lunch but both still very palatable, think I am scarred from meal packs of exante...Had both in 5 mins flat hehe. Anyways now gna plan my low carb supper. Will likely be a veg loaded egg white omelette:) gotta keep going.
 
So today hasn't been without it's problems. Boredom drives my eating. So here r my cheats of today. I had 2 sherbets from m&s and a couple of digestives heheh! Oo well it's done.
Made my egg white omelette with some vegetables, DH said it looked anaemic and a little sad...tasted ok in all.
Going to bed at half 9 to avoid my kitchen. Onwards and downwards...Xx

Hello thanks for ur message it's fantastic u have managed to day 6 :) it hopefully means u r well and truly in ketosis and this is becoming second nature...I had a planned blip this afternoon had to go out for lunch no getting out of it. Tried to stay away from carbs managed by enlarge. Will not dwell on it. Life does have to go on....despite dieting. That will just have to be my one meal of the day with packs for the evening. Hopefully it won't affect my loses. Everything is still firmly crossed...
 
So today is day 3 been 100% today hurray! Just waiting on an ocado shop to have my low cal meal. Very happy with my resolve despite a disasterous day at work....and unfortunately need to go back to the crap tmrw. We spend so much time at work surely being happy is important right? Will need to evaluate what effect this is having on me and if it is feasible to continue in my current role. Anyways off to watch poldark. Hope everyone else's day has been good and diet is going ok:) take care all Xx
 
So feeling better today no headache not even really hungry today. It's now half 6 and have only had 2 meals so must be getting there. weighed myself and I have lost about 3 pounds in 4 days despite the blip so happy days let's hope I stay on it. Not really a fan of the bars so far they kinda taste plasticy if that makes sense. I had the chilli con carne yesterday as my last pack of the day and was quite impressed by that. I think the shakes r a little bit hit and miss. Had Orange and mango one for brekkie and didn't like that:( oo well u live and u learn. Need to up my fluid intake drastically though. Hope everyone else's journeys r going ok! Take care all Xx
 
Wednesdays will always be a hard diwt day as its my day off from work. It generally means idle minds as hubby is at work and I usually go in search of food I have been craving hahah. Last week it was a mammoth amount of sushi...hmm that was good but pre-diet so need to put it out of my mind. So today started with a white chocolate lemon bar, very sweet :S but one of the better ones I have had so far. I think in all the packs r ok but I had slightly higher expectations and as such I have been a little disappointed with some things. But keep thinking what do u expect from a meal that contains so little cals??!! Anyways Need to plan lunch! Water for now :)
 
So Today has been ok cookies and cream shake and spicy spaghetti done, one last meal pack then some lean beef and veggies this evening. Clothes feel looser already if that makes sense :) bank holiday is gna be a tough one but let's c what happens!
 
Very odd when one starts the day with their protein and veg allowance:( can't face a meal pack. Have first one sat in front of me now...at least it's one I know I like white chocolate and raspberry shake..
 
Hello just seen your thread, do you have a diary? There's a few of us chatting on diaries page if you want to join.
Sounds like you're feeling it a bit? Sometimes the packs can be a bit urgh not this again! I like to season the savoury ones loads and add coffee to the shakes or warm them up, even been warming up the bars.
I know a lot of people love the lifestyle plan but I find simplicity easier as the packs taste better when you don't have 'real' food to compare them to.
Make sure you have plenty of drinks too, herbal teas, water flavouring etc.
