Mcv. Claire's weight loss journey with slimfast.
Original I know lol but it's exactly what I am doing!
I am Claire I'm 37 live on the Powys / shropshire border I have 2 children ages 5 and 8 and married for 12 yrs in July.
A few weeks ago I was the heaviest I have ever been, even when 9 months pregnant. I have no excuses I like my food and eat too much and don't exercise, no body to blame but myself!
I've played on and off with slimming world since my son was born, loosing up to 2 stone and regaining it!
In preparation to go on a caravan holiday about 3 weeks ago I discovered I couldn't get into my cropped jeans, the last time I wore them (September) I vowed I wanted to loose 1 1/2 stone, so I was gutted to say the least as I had put on 1 1/2 stone instead
I got dressed and went to buy some slim fast shake and thought I would give it a go, a bit dubious as I suffer with hypoglycaemia ( blood sugar dropping, resulting in headaches, the shakes, feeling sick and possibility of passing out)
Any way it seems to suit me, in my first week I lost 8 lb then we went away for 10 days and I gained 1 lb not so bad, but got straight back on to plan on my return.
Weigh day today and I am now 12st 11lb that is a fab 10 lb loss in total.
I've stuck to the plan 100% although I haven't had the time to exercise like I wanted but things have eased up now and hopefully I will be exercising 3 times a week.
My ultimate goal is to be 10 st that means I will of lost 3 stone in total, going to Greece in 12 weeks so if I could be 11st to 11 1/2st that would be fantastic.
I really want to reach my goal weight by Christmas, I've given myself that long as I expect the weight loss to slow down, and anticipating plateaus at some points, but it would be fantastic to have a choice of clothes from my wardrobe instead of wearing the same old things cos I can't get into any other clothes lol.
Well that's me in a nut shell...

I resisted the urge today to jump on the scales, and to try on my holiday clothes, I know what would happen, if there wasn't a loss and my holiday clothes still don't fit which they won't as I need to loose at least another stone before they do, I would feel depressed
So I have got up, packed the children off to grandma and grandads for the night and I am off to the gym. I've had my morning shake and will have a banana before I go then have a shake when I get back, didn't know what I'm going to have for tea tonight though, I tout I would be starving on slim fast but I can honestly say I'm not.
When doing slimming world my life evolved around food, planning menus, food shopping, and I always knew what I would be eating 3 meals in advance and I always had food on my mind... What could I eat next. But with SF I don't think about food at all really and that's such a relief.
Anyways off to the gym now

That's what I like about slimfast, there is not a lot of thinking. I only have to think about 1 meal a day and thats pretty simple!

Well I got to the health club and decided I didn't want to go to the gym so I swam instead, I did 50 lengths, followed by steam room and jacuzzi.
So I had morning and afternoon shake, a banana then for my tea I had my favorite meal just a smaller portion than usual, oven chips, sausage ( oven cooked) and fried ( in light fry) egg. OMG it was delicious
Just got to get through tomorrow, we go pick the children up and have dinner with the inlaws, my mother inlaw is an amazing cook and ontop of a Sunday dinner she makes a selection of deserts, yes I did say selection.... So I asked her to make any desert as long as it was smothered in cream.... I promise there is method in my madness ...I don't like cream so I won't be even tempted
Going to the gym first ... While I am on the treadmill I will be thinking of wearing my bikini on the beach lol x

Went swimming this morning and did 50 lengths... Up at mother inlaws now waiting for lunch x
-
Very proud of myself today, I got up went swimming, had lunch at the inlaws, a huge dinner, they are vegi so we had quorn fillets, 4 small new potatoes, broccoli, green beans, peas, carrot and sweed mash and cauli and splash of gravy. I scooted round the roast potatoes and roasted veg and didn't have pudding.
I've only had one shake and no snacks today still full from dinner x
-
Oh and I had 2 compliments today too, which has made me feel spectacular, hubbie said that he could tell I had lost weight and could particularly see it when in my swimming costume, and my mother in law said she could see that I had lost in on my side from my waist to my hips.
My jeans are falling down and now actually need a belt. Happy days !!!

Brox159.... Don't know if I mentioned this previous but I really like slim fast, I never actually thought I could do it, but I find it suits me.
When I've been on a diet previously my whole waking day evolves around food, looking at magazines to get meal ideas, planning menues, making shopping lists, shopping, knowing at least 3 meals and 3 snax in advance what I would be eating, when I wasn't eating I was debating what to have next.
Slim fast just takes all that away its great x

I'm on the scales in the morning wish me luck..... Really want a loss of 2 lb, but as long as its going down I will be happy... Last Friday was 12st 11lb and really really want to see 12st 9 in mornin. I've been 100% this week, probably could of drunk more water tho
-
Will keep my fingers crossed for you hun!

Didn't get 12.9 on the scales got 12.10 so that's another pound gone, 11lb in 3 weeks is great and am seeing the difference!
Next weeks goal is 2 lb. will be 100% again this week, must drink more water and will get some more swimming in too x
