So as the title suggests I've set a challenge to myself to stick to slim fast or ultra slim 100% for 100 days. Today is day 1 (obviously!) and day 100 is 08th July. I'm starting out at 15st10.25lbs. I'm not focusing on the weight loss so much, but am focusing on not overeating and controlling my portion sizes. I've even bought a children's plate and bowl set as my dinner plates are HUGE! I tend to pile food on it - can't do that if the plate is small right? I am a member of a gym so it's also time to use that membership, my sister is joining up tomorrow so at least I will have a buddy! I do have an account on MFP (Andrea1823) so feel free to add me.

Off to drink my shake. Can't decide between banana and chocolate!

Thank you for reading if you got this far! It's been quite a ramble! Andrea xx

Soooo day one went well, came in under 1200 calories which I'm happy with. Day two on track to be more of the same. Realised that I really need to eat something better for tea! A mini pizza last night and quesadilla's tonight!

I've got my dad coming for tea tomorrow so think I'll do something easy like curry.

Finding hard not to snack in the evenings. Window internet shopping at clothes and cannot find anything long enough! I'm 5ft7 with a 34" inside leg and some brands long is 32" or 33". Finding clothes so hard to get. Hopefully once I've shifted the weight I can shop at stores I've never been in like H&M or topshop! At 27 I can't believe I've never been slim enough to shop there. Disgusting.

Well that's it or today's ramblings

Urgh top shop is the devil. I'm pretty sure the staff look at me like 'we don't cater for your kind here' when I walk in lol.

    Good luck with your challenge!!

Haha that's exactly how I feel shopping in any shop! I get looked at like "oh there's a fatty with a kid!" I really hate the horrible looks retail staff give! I'm sure it's worse as I've worked for two different clothing shops. The cosmetics counters are the worst, I get away as fast as I can. Not a run, more of a fast waddle! X

Ahhhh!! My "slim fast" diet consisted of a shake and then a Tesco Ultra Slim meal replacement bar........it appears that Tesco have stopped selling these :-( I've bought some slim fast ones but at nearly 5 for 4 I think this is too expensive! I don't really like the ready made shakes and don't like to take a powdered one to work as people ask too many questions and I hate the looks etc. Do I bite the bullet and make a shake at work or do I explore my options and maybe take a sandwich?

Am so hungry today and feeling disappointed so bought a cupcake. Haven't eaten it yet and don't know if I want to. I'm struggling today and am wondering why I'm even trying to lose weight. I sometimes think it'll be easier to just stay fat and miserable - at least I wasn't hungry!! Ha! X

On amazon you can get 4 bars for 1.79. But your order has to be at least 10 quid. But still its a hell of a bargain!

    Hi lovely,

Sorry to hear you're struggling. Do you mind me asking what exactly your diet entails, how many calories, how many meals etc? Just wondered why you're doing shakes and meal replacement bars and not actual food if that makes sense? For me personally, I think it would be harder mentally for me if I was barely eating food. I love to snack and have proper meals, and you'd be surprised how much you can eat for a relatively low amount of calories. Maybe eating real food would help keep you on track, and not be down and hungry. xxx

Thanks guys! I'll check out Asda and Amazon.
KMD I'm doing the slim fast diet to replace breakfast and lunch. I just cannot seem to limit my portions to a sensible amount so am replacing two items per day to teach myself I don't have to graze all day! I have fruit for snacks and a kit kat in the evening to satisfy my sweet tooth xxx

    How's it going Andrea?

Don't worry about what people think at work - if anything they'll only be looking to see in case they want to try it! I've done shake diets before and at first people thought I was mad, then in a few weeks they were all doing it too xx

Hi xena, I'm doing ok! Found the slim fast bars are still half price in superdrug so I've placed an order to stock up! I sit with very judgemental people at work so just eat my bars - I don't get as much stick as I'm eating "food". It also helps that I eat really slow so it lasts ages and I don't feel hungry. Just gotta stop the boredom eating at work. I do tend to daydream because the job is so dull!
How are you doing? Are you doing slim fast? Xx

Well I just started today with the Tesco ultra slim shakes but basically the same thing yes. It's only day 1 but it's going well so far, I've got a party coming up in a couple of weeks so hopefully I can shift a few pounds by then. I don't have much to lose but I'm finding it hard to lose the last bit. Determined to shape up for summer though!

Hi xena. It was awful. I have well and truly fallen off the wagon. It's pulling away from me and I'm too fat to chase it down. I'm ashamed that I pretty much just binged all weekend. No thinking involved. Just eating. No slim fast products have gone near these lips :-( I desperately want to lose weight but then the craving demons come and hit me with a vengeance!! Why can't I just say no?!
A new day tomorrow. I feel sick and sluggish and generally ick. I've bought lots of salad so that's going to be my staple tea for a while. I love it so it won't be hard! Plus I can have lots so won't be hungry. I need to lose weight. My clothes don't fit :-( I want to try for another baby at the end of the year and don't want to be fat through another pregnancy as my first was tough!! That should be my motivation.

Anybody got tips on how to stop the cravings and binge eating? I wish I had other vices but I don't drink or smoke. Argh! I hate that food is my enemy and I can't escape it!

Anyway. Rant over. Kick up the bum needed. New day tomorrow! X
