    3 years to gain, a year to lose??!

    I'm not sure if I'm posting this correctly but here goes. My first try on Slim Fast after failed attempts on Slimming World (too much freedom) and Weight Watchers (all changed & I didn't like it).

    Day 1 - shake at 7.30am, banana at 10.30, shake at 12, apple at 2, starving by 3.45 but also had a headache so I think I just needed to drink more. Made chicken curry when I got home (chicken, tomatoes, onions, garlic and spices with brown rice)

    I enjoyed the shakes but I really loved having a hot meal at tea time! I'm going to have a cup of tea and a chocolate digestive at 9pm! What a treat! I hope tomorrow is as successful as today. I'm hoping to work in some exercise too ?

    Day 2 - I've had a dull headache all day, I think it's just from lack of fluids as I've not been hungry like yesterday. I drank 2l of water but think I need to up it. I've been cranky too. I'm not letting a headache put me off!!!

    Anyway today's food:

    B SF choc shake at 9.30
    Snack - banana at 11.45
    L - SF Strawberry shake at 1pm
    Snack - apple at 3.45
    D - Spaghetti bolognese made with dolmio light sauce and 2 slices of garlic bread
    No evening snack
    Week 1 - 3lbs down = 39lbs to go
    Week 2 - 3lbs down = 36lbs to go
    Week 3 - 1lb down = 35lbs to go

    How are you feeling today? Hope the headache has gone! I have to say, this diet does make me listen to my body a bit more! I drink huge amount more now then I used to - I think I just always read the signs as hunger!! I too have been on SW and WW, but they never helped my portion control...free food meant I would eat LOADS of fruit throughout the day, not really thinking about quiute how much food I was putting in. I am almost finished week 2 of Slimfast, and I have to say i like that it restricts me ..... I can't really cheat unless I go off plan.

    Hey! I'm exactly the same. I'm a greedy guys so need to wind it in and slim fast does this for me. Even at dinner time my portions are half what they would normally be because I'm not that hungry?! I have an upset stomach today but hoping it's a bug and not the shakes as I really want to do this.

    It's great being on here & knowing I'm not the only one!! ?

    Yeh my dinner portions have gone down too, I can actually hear that little alarm that say's you are actually full now! Haha!! I still have some days where all I can think about is food, even when I know I am not hungry, but I think that will always be my demon! And when I am busy, I forget all about it, so just need to keep myself occupied

    I hope you start feeling a bit better, there does seem to be a lot going round at the minute, so hopefully just a one day thing x

    Much better today thanks! I actually felt fine by 3pm yesterday although the only thing I had all day was my first shake and water.........so ended up having a spring roll and some rice when my husband went to the chinese for dinner!! Oops.

    Never mind, today is a new day!

    B - Choc shake at 9.30 (drank slooooowly just incase it was guzzling yesterday's one which upset my tum)

    Probably no snack as I'm in meetings until hometime. Not sure what to make for dinner?

    Hey! Not bad but haven't followed the plan since Thursday. Had our trial of school dinners at my son's school on Friday then friends round. Been trying to count calories yesterday and today. Weighed myself tonight and lost 3lbs since last Sunday night so I'm chuffed with that! How are you getting on? I'm looking forward to getting back on it tomorrow

    OK so I weighed myself last Monday morning (1st Sept) and I was 16stone and 1/2lb (oh the shame). Then I weighed myself this Monday morning just past (8th Sept) and I was 15stone 11 1/4lbs, then this morning I weighed myself and I am now 15stone 6 1/4lbs - that can't be right?!?

    Last week was my "week of the month" so perhaps that contributed to it but surely I can't have lost 8lbs in 9 days??

    All going well thanks hun, I only have another 2 days on plan until my holiday, so Friday WI will be the start of a weeks break - which I am worried about, but am just going to enjoy it and will be straight back on plan once I get back - I really do like the structure!! x
