Hi All,

Thought I'd start my own little diary just to keep me on track with things ect ect :p

So the reason for wanting to lose weight.....is.......purely SHALLOW, I'm sorry, I know thats not a nice reason but I am so sick of being the "fat" sister/friend. I used to be slim, now I have trucker arms and my belly looks like I'm 4 months pregnant :( I'm deeply unhappy with my weight!

So last Friday I went to a kids party and my friend took pics of me with my kiddies and only uploaded them to Facebook!!! I look hideous, it was a wake up call, I was mortified.....I then made the decision to lose weight and that night popped to Sainsburys and got 2 tubs of Slimfast.

Its been an eye opener, the first day, I stupidly decided to eat 1200 cals, I was freaking starving like baaaaaaaad, I then did the how many calories should I eat calculator again and to lose 1lb a week I should wat around 1480 calories, I have made the decision to eat what slim fast advises and thats 1360, this I am happy with and can cope with, I have also religously cut out fizzy drinks (Bar say 1 250ml glass of Pepsi Max - I was on about 3/4 bottle full fat coke a day....) and have been drinking 1.5-2 ltrs of water a day.... I think this has helped me fight the sugar craving from all the coke I used to drink, on a weird note I have had like 3 spots appear on my face??!! Go figure, I'm now overweight and spotty hahaha!

With Slimfast, I have found that I prefere to have 1 shake a day and I have this as my breakfast as I hate to eat in the morning!!! I have forgone the afternoon shake and changed that to a low low fat subsitute.....usually salad and my recently newly discovered food for me COTTAGE CHEESE!!!

I never new cottage cheese was that fab, I had a stuffed mushroom with it today and it was like hardly any fat, loads of protein and 40 cals, GET IN THERE COTTAGE CHEESE nom nom nom!

I'm feeling positive and its nearly been a week, I know that doesnt sound a lot but it is for me! woooo!

P.S: I have ordered the "shred" should arrive by Friday, gonna start it on Sat eeeeek!

I'm looking to lose around 8lbs a month so come december I will be nearly two stone lighter!!
 
Well 2 days till weigh in....eeek!!

I've been daily weighing - I NEED TO STOP!!! I've had mini losses all week until today it looks like I put a pound on from yesterday?! So instead of being 12st 12.8lbs I was 13st 0.3lbs??!!!!!! Still down 3.5lbs.....going to with hold as it was so disheartening this morning to see that! I'm hoping to hit 12stone 13lbs on sat then I will have lost 4lbs!! Wooooooo, though we shall see.....

I've joined the September challenge and I am trying to be realistic and set manageable goals otherwise I'll starve and give up in the first week! I'm thinking on average half a stone a month is a healthy loss, as this is my first month I've set myself the target of shifting 8lbs taking me from 13st 3.8lbs to 12st 9lbs.....fingers crossed it works!!

So today my son started reception and I don't drive so 2 days a week I have to take him to school and pick him up.....today I walked in total 4.8miles!!! While pushing my two year old daughter and my son on the buggy board, there's a massive hill and right now my thighs are killing me!! I'm thinking once my shred DVD arrives I'll do that every day (sounds great in theory....) my nearly 5 mile walk twice a week and this sat I'm gonna start doing my Callanetics DVD, aiming to do that 3 times a week, once I get in the swing of things I'll do my excercise during week (apart from shred) and that should help me tone and tighten my icky skin!!
 
Ok, so to help me out I downloaded the my fitness pal app, its pretty darn good! Though it says if I want to lose a 1lb a week i eat 1480 or if I want to lose 1.5lbs a week I need to eat 1260....well I'll just stick to the 1360 almost exactly in between, hopefully when I excercise it will make up the extra lb loss to make it 1.5 a week......

OMG My legs are in agony :( and I have to do it all again tomorrow (I think my shred will arrive then too eeek) thank god for next week when it will only be Mondays & Thursdays that I do my 5 mile walk.

I had a nice dinner tonight and now I'm stuffed, I don't know if I'm being paranoid but I am weighing and logging all food and it feels like i'm eating so much, I think because I did the daily weigh in and it showed a gain from day before that I'm not doing it properly, only time will tell I guess.....Saturday is D-DAY!!! I'm really nervous!

Tomorrow is weigh in day Eeeeek!! I'm nervous slash excited, today I was kinda naughty, no I didn't eat any bad bads but I didn't drink my shake because we were running late this morning (my fault I washed my hair :( ) I had a few snacks packed so munched through them...I only walked 3 miles today instead of 5 but it's more than what I normally do!!

I just got in and I'm having a coffee AND a two fingered kit kat woooo CHOCOLATE!! Love it!!

I my fitness pal'd today and I have 961 cals left gonna save them for a 90 cal soup AND a chicken kebab WITH chili sauce yum yum yum!!

My shred hasn't arrived yet :( amazon super saver delivery is loooooong!!

I'm still feeling positive, I don't look different BUT I feel it and that's a bloody great feeling I tell ya :D

Well done, I'm at home with the toddlers 1 and 2 and I have to try and not pick. As its not big meals but high cal crap lol.

But I have cut down on the junk I weigh in Tuesday , didn't this week though as I was out drinking at weekend so shall weigh in next week. First week lost 4 lb though I'm at 10 5 so anything down from that on Tuesday will be fab just want to see the 9.

Oh I know!!! I'm making separate meals at the same time to stop me snacking on the kiddie foods!! Eeek I'm out at end of month it's not so much the drinking it's the hangover munchies that get me!!

Well done on cutting down on the junk, it's really hard!! My obsession was full fat coke, I actually craved it!!

4lbs first week that's great!! I'm looking to do that then 1.5lbs a week I want to take the weight off real slow so it stays off!!

Ok so I didn't lose 4lbs I lost 3.4lbs, still fantastic to ME!!! Week 1 down!!!

My palava with the scales....I weigh in living room, moved scales into kitchen and I weighed 13st 1lb, moved back to living room and weighed 13st 0lbs.....As I always weigh in the living room I'm taking that weight! There was literally 5minutes between weighs!!

Last night I had my chicken kebab with salad and chili sauce and chips!! Now the chips were the size of Macdonalds small chips, on MFP it worked out 740 cals for kebab and chips! As it was a fri night it felt great to "treat" myself! I probably could have lost more weight if I didn't eat it even though it was in my cals but I liked the idea I ate it, it's a normal thing I'd eat if I wasn't on a diet so it's manageable for when I finally hit target, if that makes sense......

As I keep saying, I'm having a shake for breakfast and the rest of the day I calorie count, so I've got 1130 calories a day to eat from. To get the most out of my cals I'm choosing the healthiest options and generally any carbs I eat are whole wheat. I like this because I'm re training my eating habits, I know in the long run I could never Do 2 shakes for rest of my life, but for breakfast it works because I don't like to eat until 10ish and I'm up from 5:30-6ish every morning!!

Yesterday I went to Argos and bought new digital scales for my kitchen as I had non digital ones, will be using them today kinda excited sad I know but true!!

My Shred still isn't here so hopefully it will arrive today, I still plan to do my callanetics DVD 10yrs younger in 10hrs, by the time I'm finished I'll have the body of a 20yr old......hahahaha I wish :D

Anyhoo, I'll update later today as its Sat Xfactor night woooo! Gonna see how much calories are in a petit filou as they are great Frozen!

32lbs to go.....I'M GONNA DO THIS!!!!!

Gonna find my tape measure and take my measurements eeeeek!! And get Hubby to take my pics ( I hate my body eeeek)!!!

Uh oh hubby has just ordered a curry....I've used all my cals :(

I've ordered a chicken tikka starter and a chipatti......eeek gonna be bout 500 cals over!!

oh well off for tonight back on tomorrow - its SERIOUS XD...... Shreeeeeeeeeeeed Time babeeeeeeeey!!

Okay I'm back with Avengence!!!

No more take outs!! Well decided Sat night will be takeout night and that will be a chicken kebab and salad!!!

I am gonna be 100% today! Oh yes I am!! Was thinking it might be salvageable as I've been doing 1360 and MFP says do 1480 to lose a lb a week, I want to lose 1.5lb a week so I might have been lucky!! And I've not been eating my excercise calories so if I STS I'll be happy but ideally 1.5lbs is what I want to lose this week!!!

I didn't take my measurements yesterday so I am going to try do that now, I cant find my fabric tape measure as I hid it somewhere as the kids were using It as a freaking lasso!! Gonna try with a non fabric one see if that works will update if it does!!

Anyhow off to measure and physce myself for the shred (dum dum dum ominous music playing while I say that....)
 
OMFG!!!!! *****!!!! Took the measurements feel like waking hubby up and screaming 'Whyyyyyyyy didn't you tell me, WHYYYYYYY?!)

Okay here they are:

Waist: 35.5inch
Hips: 38.1inch
Boobs: 41inch
Under bust: 36.5inch
Left thigh: 24.5inch
Right thigh: 25inch
Left arm: 13.5inch
Right arm: 12.5inch

My freaking thigh is the size of a skinny persons waist!! I'm f***ing devastated (sorry for cursing) I can't believe I let myself get like this I know my weight was big and I wore 14-16 clothes but it still didn't kinda register if you know what I mean?! I used to be a tight size 8-10 pre kids and hubby (6 years ago) in six tricking years I'm huge?! It's gonna take a freaking long time to fix this!!! Arrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!! I'm not accepting this fact very well ATM!

Defo have to excercise as you can tell with my measurements I carry it all up top and in the danger zone round my tummy..... :(

I'm going to take the measurements once a month ideally I want to be a 10-12 as after kids I think it would be freaking idiotic to aim for anything under that!!

Doing Shred at 8:45am if it doesn't kill me I will post afterwards........
 
Don't worry you are doing something about it, that's the main thing :)
 
1st Day of Shred: well I couldn't do all the exercises with the weights I tried real hard but I'm so unfit!!! Truley unfit!!! I'll be working up to that..... I'm still shaking now.....I think this gonna be more like the 90 day shred for me!!!!! But I attempted and finished it.... My legs ARE ON FIRE!!!! Still sweating now!!! But after measurements I WILL DO IT EVERYDAY, I WILL!!!
 
I don't normally do ready meals but been on the go today!! As I didn't have mid morning snack I got a be good to yourself chicken and king prawn paella for lunch, 330 cals can't complain!! It's soooo hot today I think it's just gonna be cottage cheese and slice of ham on salad for dinner tonight, maybe with a banana and fat free natural yoghurt for dessert (it is Sunday after all :D)

Ps: STILL FEELING THE BURN!!

Well done on doing the shred I got to day 8 last time then went away and never carried on when I got back but restarting tomorrow been doing sit ups and weight exercises of shred for the last 5 days I use 2 kg weights you certainly feel it the next day.

How many cals are you eating?
 
Good to know someone who made it past day 1!!! Hahaha!! Eeek I was using 2.5lbs AND IT HURT!! gonna drop them to 1lb and build up to 2.5lb before I move levels, think this is gonna be the 90 day shred for me lol!!

I'm eating the Slimfast amount of 1360, MFP says if I want to lose 1lb a week I should eat 1480 and if I want to lose 1.5lbs a week I should eat 1240, I figured the Slimfast amount is in the middle and I'm not eating my excercise calories so hopefully I should lose 1.5lbs a week, fingers crossed!!

How you finding it?
