Hi everyone,

I always start different diets and fail so i'm hoping i'll be able to stick to slim fast! I have 2 stone to lose for my holiday in August. If anyone's got any advice please give! I need all the help/knowledge I can get. :)
 
Hello! Just wanted to welcome you to Slimfast :) Ive been on it for a week now and I am down 8 lbs. I've tried other diets and Slimfast is surprisingly easy to stick with, in my opinion.

Today I am trying something different- I paired my shake with 1/2 a banana and I am having the other half with my meal bar for lunch. Bananas are super healthy anyway (especially if you suffer from horrible body cramps like I do) and with the shake, it feels good to eat with it lol. I know this isnt 100% strict Slimfast plan but I need to lose 100lbs total so I figure as long as I stick to around 1600 calories, I will lose (as I have been).

Hi i also have been doing the slimfast for a week , had a couple of setbacks with easter but im still down 4lbs with my 1st week weigh in tomorrow. I didnt go all out on cutting my callories from 2500 to 1500 , ive been consuming around 2000 a day for the last week and with my exercise still lost weight. My advice after week one is do the shakes , eat every 2.5 to 3 hours , be it a shake or a snack. Also if your hungry dont starve yourself. Eat. Otherwise it probably wont work.

you seem to have done very well, what type of food are you eating on the low carb diet? Carbs are one of my biggest problems. I used to eat alot , mostly chips , crisps and bread. I am now trying to cut them down big time. So far so good.
 
Oh thanks for the advice! I'm gonna try the banana trick i reckon... I've struggled today with really bad cravings!! Hoping they go away after a week or so! X

i dont eat any bread, potatoes (very sometimes sweet potatoes), no pasta, no rice, no chips, no crisps etc no alcohol, no chocolate.

my food is meat, fish, veggies, soups, dairy (but only low fat or 0% fat) plus some protein bars, now shakes. (anything which is low in carbs n high in protein)

i do also eat thin ryvita bread, light choices crackers (like those from tesco)
