    Slim fast not agreed with my OH

    So he tried it for 2 days, wasnt hungry & did well. But gave him the WORST tummy ever. It was coming out both ends at one point. Oh dear! Obviously he has given up & doesn't want to go near the shakes again lol!

    When i switched from the shakes to the powders i had loads of trouble with stomach cramps and many, many unpleasant trips to the toilets. Very strange because i was fine on the shakes. But i'd bought a load of the powder and didn't want to waste it so instead of mixing it with skimmed milk i used Soya milk instead and i had no more problems. I checked on the slimfast website and it approved the use of soya milk. Perhaps if he still wanted he could try the powder with soya milk? I'm no fan of soya milk but mixed with the chocolate and strawberry powders it was nice.

    I hope he's feeling better now.

    Wanted to bump this page up cos it's not just your OH. I found that I was throwing them up if I drank a shake quickly. I have to drink a shake sip by sip very slowly. Found also that other types of milk make me less queasy. Finally with the powder, I put in a scoop and a half, alongside the less calories in the different milk and less powder, add some fruit.

    What does everyone else do?

    It has affected me in that I'm veryvery constipated but thankfully hasn't come out both ways. I'm using them up (have one caramel temptation left - eugh, a vanilla (haven't tried yet) a strawberry and a banananananananana left but once the powders are used up I won't buy anymore. I'm strongly considering throwing the caramel temptation to be honest. I managed three shakes out of the other tin I had of it before I binned it. It's the only one I can't get on with)

    Definitely agree they're not for everyone though

    Goal: Lose 6st 9lb before Christmas (to 20st)
