New to slim fast
Hello I'm new to slim fast used to do slimming world but just can't stay on the wagon at the moment! So I'm starting Tuesday!
Just wondering what sort if things people have for their 100 calorie snacks, do you have slim fast snacks or other things?
Also what do you tend to have for your 600 calorie main meal?

I try to mix up the snack as I don't want to get to stuck, some of the snacks I have are fruit, weight watchers chicken noodle soup 52 cals , white danish bread 50 cals a slice, quavers and wotsits, you can get small bags of popcorn too the list is endless. You don't have to have the slimfast snacks but I've herd they are nice.

I'm starting slimfast today. Never done it before.
I'm 5ft 4 and 175lbs. For the first time ever I am officially obese!!! I have done sooooo many diets in the past. This one I HAVE to make work.
I plan to have a slimfast shake/bar for breakfast and lunch, make my own 100 cal snacks with bananas, fruit, yogurts, and then have anything for tea that's 600 cals (that seems quite a lot for dinner!)

I have now been doing the plan for just over 2 weeks and I also try to mix up my snacks as much as possible - it's nice to have them to look forward too, so if you can make them exciting I find it much better. I try to make at least one of mine fruit based, but then for the others I have popcorn, skips, slim fast snacks, light ice cream, muller light yogurts, rice cakes, babybels......it's actually amazing how much you can get for 100cals when you plan ahead a little. I am also a little bit of a vino queen, so sometimes I will leave out 2 snacks during the day and have a large glass if vino of an evening - a nice weekend treat
I agree with you Drunk Tinkerbell, I actually think 600 cals in one meal is quite high when you are trying to make them healthier meals. I tend to keep mine at around the 450-500 mark, as overall with my snacks, a shake and a meal bar, this brings me in at about 1200 calories for the day. I then try to make sure I exercise each day too, so start eating in to the calories there as well.
Like you I was a SW girl, but i know i was cheating myself as I knew how to cheat the system, i.e. eating lots of free food even though i knew the portions were ridiculous. I really like the structure slimfast has given me the past 2 weeks, it has helped keep me on track and I don't feel I am obsessing about food, planning every meal within an inch of it's life!

Well just having my first shake and struggling to get it all down!! It's so big! So much milk!!
Ive always suspected I could be intolerant to milk so this will be a test for me. I hope not as really want this to work!

I too used to do Slimming World but my portion control was out of control. SF means I'm in control during the day and can be a bit more free at dinner time as long as I stay around the 600 calorie mark. I normally have fruit as my snacks during the day but the other day I had a small apple in the morning and a curly wurly (114cals) in the afternoon with my cup of tea - it was amaaaaazing!! From the fridge so it lasted longer
I'm really enjoying the plan, I don't feel like I'm restricting myself and it means I don't go to the canteen at work and I'm tempted by what's on offer there. Everyone is different though. Good luck!
