    Chinese gravy please!

Sorry if similar thread exists (can't come accross) Have been in love with Chinese gravy ( sauce as they call it) for as long as I can remember Have tried to make it myself infinate times but never got it!!!!!!( It either gets too British gravy like or end up with a curry sauce or garlic gravy!) PLEASE can anyone help ! (Both OH and myself been up all night ( not what you think!!! But coughing non stop plus I have a temp and the only thing I fancy tonight is special fried rice ( we have cooked rice from yesturday ) and Chinese gravy But If we have a take away it will not be SW friendly plus I definitely will not be well enough to go out ) So any suggestions very greatly welcomed Help

    1 chicken stock cube
    1tsp sweetener
    2tbsp soy sauce
    1tbsp cornflower
    2tbsp water
    1 tsp sesame oil
    Salt & Pepper

you could use this as a starting point & experiment with it a bit.
There are a few recipes on the internet.....
    Good luck

When I'm wanting to add chinese flavour to food I use chinese five spice - it seems to give it a more authentic taste
