    Indian meal! Was I good?

Hi, this is my first post!

i started slimming world 2 weeks ago and I've lost half a stone already! I've been so good even though I've had 5 birthdays in the space of 2 weeks! So a few meals out!

i had an Indian last night, I had:

1 poppadum with 1 tsp mango and onion
fish tikka pieces ( came with a vegetable curry sauce separately)
    half boiled rice with salad

i think I chose well, but when the fish tikka came out it was on a sizzler so was worried about the oil.

any feedback would be much appreciated!

It sounds like you made good choices. Yes there may have been some oil but nothing compared to a creamy sauce like a masala or a korma. Sometimes we accept that it may be a case of 'the best' choice rather than food that allows you to stay 100% on plan. It's the flexibility that makes SW so very sustainable long term. Whatever syns may have been in that are unlikely to go above the 15 daily limit anyway so assuming you had no other syns that day you are probably safe. Well done for making such conscious choices!

That sounds like an excellent choice, when i have indian ( very rarely, but me and my other half LOVE an indian!!!!! ) i have boiled rice and chicken tikka peices. None of it is superb and free of syns (except boiled rice) but sometimes you just have to treat youself, but make the best choices so you dont completely fall off the bandwagon. I know creamy curries are a complete NO - my boyfriend sits infront of me eating a Korma and Coconut rice with Naan bread.. Arghhhh!!!!!
