Jamies italian

Hi all, going for dinner at Jamie's italian tonight, anyone know what's the best to go for in terms of low syn? Will avoid creamy sauces like carbonara and the lovely oil filled bread but usually there's "hidden syns" in these restaurants

Not been there - I don't eat out - so can't help much, but if you check out their menus on their website you can make some choices in advance.
And remember the basic rules - ask for sauces, dressings, etc., to be left off or served on the side, and you don't have to eat everything on your plate.

Just looked at the menu and saw they do a nice sounding superfood salad, which you can add grilled chicken too which wouldn't be too high synned. The only thing I can see in it that is a little off plan would be the cottage cheese.

Been to Jamie's in London before.

You can get a meat platter (starter) - basically a board filed with different slices of meats, olives, cheeses, tomatoes, etc, this filled me up and I had just a chicken (grilled) salad for mains with a low fat dressing (on the table anyway)

Enjoy :)

Hi - the advice from our SW consultant when visiting Italian restaurants such as Jamie's was to check that the pasta was dried and not fresh - makes a big difference to the syn value and is often forgotten... Good luck!
