    Breakfast
    - Banana
    Lunch
    - Houmous and salad on a big-ass granary roll (both HEXBs)

    - Confession- I didn't do the Shred today I only slept for an hour last night because of my stupid wisdom tooth pain, and my foot is really swollen from the pressure I've been putting on it. I did, however, have about an hour's walk this morning, because I had to go to my mum's and I couldn't afford bus fare!

They're evil aren't they? I have no upper body strength at all, it's ridiculous! Maybe one day we'll both get there, then people will be queueing up to buy tickets to the gun show! xx

I'm really upset at the moment, the scales still aren't shifting and the exercising seems to be doing more harm than good. It's making me really bloated and swollen and my foot is killing me- I tore two tendons in my foot last year and they never healed properly, and I think some of the Shred moves are putting a lot of pressure on it. I don't understand how I can be so diligent and get nowhere, yet when I don't try as hard I get really good losses. It's making me so miserable! Sorry for the random outburst, I'm just finding it really hard not to give up.

    Saturday

I'm having a day off today- I'm going out with a friend who I haven't seen for ages, and I don't want to be thinking about SW. Besides, since eating ridiculously healthily apparently makes me gain weight, maybe being unhealthy will make me lose some!

    Brunch
    - 2 hot cross buns, Options
    Tea
    - Margherita pizza
    Snacks
    -
    Drinks
    - 4 litres water, several JD and lemonades...

Aaaw Oddsock. Sorry to read that you are troubled by your tooth and your tendons. Take it easy and enjoy your day off

(I bought the Shred DVD but am too afraid to try it as I had tendonosis last year and the Shred looks too high impact for me old tendon.)

Thank you! Yeah I'd definitely be careful if you have tendon problems, it's really aggravated my tendon injury. I wonder whether it'd be better to do the Shred on alternate days? Maybe having rest days would help to avoid hurting yourself. I've been going on long walks in the woods which is really good exercise, and I have a yoga dvd which I'm going to start. Good luck with whatever exercise you decide to try! xx

As a fellow veggie I saw your diary today and read through it but was quite suprised to see Quorn all the way through it so as I don't live in UK don't know it so Googled it - what is it like - is it tasty, nutritious and moorish? (or convenient).

I love beans, lentils and spices so most of our meals are made from scratch - i.e. dried beans which are soaked and pressure cooked then made into curry, bolognaise, pasta dishes and veggie topped pies etc. eaten with loads of veggies or salad.
(dried pulses are so much cheaper than buying them tinned or frozen but people think that pressure cookers are old fashioned)
I am also almost dairy intolerant but do eat the 30gms of cheese each day which I find is ok but no more than that and have a hubby who can eat for the world and not put on an ounce but eats what I eat but in bigger portions.
I do a weekly menu and try to stick to it but put my stone back on when we went travelling for a few months and had to eat in restaurants and hotels which I had no control over.
One thing I wanted to ask you - do you make the hummus or do you buy it? We have a friend who has a veggie/vegan restaurant who makes hummus and puts almost as much olive oil into it as chickpeas - quite synful.
Started my diary on 18th May - GREEN days

How're you doing matey? I think it's more than ok for you to have a bit of an outburst after all the effort you've put in. Also think doing the shred on alternate days is a good idea! If it's hurting you then you shouldn't be doing it!! It's alright to feel a bit of a burn or an ache after a good work out, but you shouldn't be in pain or have bits of you swelling up!! Walking when you can is a great idea too. I personally think walking is the best exercise for anyone
I was hoping to get in a few runs before I start work this week, but seen as I can't even really stand for very long that's prob not a good idea. Will get some walking and hopefully running done next week

Hope you had a nice time out with your friend.xx
