Thought I'd start a food diary as it seems the thing to do!

So far today:

Breakfast
Peach, nectarine, 1/4 honeydew melon, 28g oats and a cherry muller light.

Lunch
2 slices w/meal bread with eggs, salad and syn free mayo. Peach activia (0.5 syns)

Snack
Scan bran cake (2 syns plus a scan bran from hexb from breakfast)
Alpen light (2 syns)

Probably pasta and syn free homemade veggie sauce for dinner with 28g cheese!

6 tbsp fat free fromage frais
2 tbsp white wine vinegar
2 tsp sweetner
1 tsp mustard powder
1 tsp water

Mix the water and mustard powder together to make a smooth paste then mix in all the other ingredients. Doesn't taste much like mayo but is a good substitute and it's FREE!
 
Thursday

Breakfast

Lunch
Home made root vegetable soup (1 syn) with pasta and 28g cheese (hexa). Banana and jelly (0.5 syns)

Snacks
Aldi cereal bar and alpen light cereal bar (hexb)

Dinner
Quorn chilli with rice and 28g cheese (hexa)

Snacks
2 bananas and 2 jaffa cakes (4 syns)

Friday

Breakfast

After searching Bath for anywhere that would do a jacket potato and having a near miss at Boston Tea Party after they had just sold the last one, I searced on my phone for a wetherspoons and we went there so had:
5 bean chilli with jacket, no butter and no dressing (1.5 syns)

Dinner
At Bath Spa so not much choice!
Caramelised red onion and goats cheese tart with salad. Not very SW friendly but it was my birthday present from my husband. 2 hexa for cheese? Syns for salad dressing, caramelised onions and tart??

Rekon I may just about be within 15 syns as it was a pretty small serving!
 
Thought I should introduce myself!

I'm 31 live just north of Bristol in a small village, moved out of Bristol about 10 months ago and loving country life! Live with my husband and 3 year old son, sahm at the moment but also in the middle of doing a PhD in mathematics which is on hold until January.

I love reading, knitting (although not managed any since we had our son!), yoga and getting back into cycling after reading an article in the last SW mag!

My son is starting preschool in September so looking forward to having a bit more time on my hands, plans for cooking lots of lovely meals, bike rides, maybe start knitting again and probably ought to do a bit more housework!

I tend to do mostly green days with the occasional mix2max thrown in.

All comments, suggestions etc. warmly welcomed!
 
Saturday - Green day

Breakfast
Fruit, oats (hexb) and peach activia (0.5 syns)
Cup of tea (1 syn)

Lunch
W/meal bread (hexb) sandwich, cheese (hexa), ham (0.5 syns), egg and salad. Homemade root veggie soup (1 syn) and banana.

Snack
Leftover Quorn chilli

Dinner
Onion, pepper, mushroom, cheese (hexa) and courgette omelette with SW chips and beans, 1 tbsp ketchup (1 syn)

Snacks
Jelly (0.5 syns)
2 jaffa cakes (4 syns)

8.5 syns total
 
Sunday - Green

Breakfast
Fruit, 28g oats (hexb) and peach activia yogurt (0.5 syns)
1.5 cups of tea (1.5 syns for milk)

Lunch
Pasta with homemade pasta sauce and 28g cheese (hexa).

Snacks
2 harvest morn cereal bars (hexb), 2 bananas and M&S count on us yogurt.

Dinner
Jacket and beans with 28g cheese (hexa) and salad with syn free mayo and balsamic vinegar.

Bar of dairy milk (13 syns)

15 syns total.

WI tomorrow morning!

Monday - Mix2Max

Breakfast
Fruit, 28g oats (hexb) and M&S Count on Us yogurt.

Lunch - Green
Pasta and homemade veggie sauce with 28g cheese (hexa).

Snacks
2 cereal bars, 1 Aldi Harvest Morn and 1 Alpen Light. (hexb)

Dinner - Red
Roasted chilli lemon chicken with roasted carrots and butternut squash.

Snacks
Hot chocolate (hexa and 2 syns)

Just deciding what else to use my syns on, bought lots of fun size chocolates and low syn biscuits today so lots of choice!
 
Tuesday - green

Breakfast
The usual fruit, oats (hexb) and muller light. Aldi peaches were yuk so went to the greengrocers to get more fruit!

Lunch
Pasta and free homemade sauce with cheese (hexa) and sprinkled with paprika.

Snack
Alpen light

Dinner
Son in hospital so scoured the streets for a jacket potato, wetherspoons annoyingly closed until Thursday! Ended up in hospital nostril having cheesy jacket and beans (hexa).

No syns as have been too busy keeping my 3 year old son occupied and he's only just fallen asleep, 11pm!
 
Wednesday - green

Breakfast
Strawberries, muller light, oats (hexb)

Lunch
Jacket potato, beans, cheese (hexa)

Snacks
2 bananas, 2 alpen lights (hexb)

Dinner
Pasta, dolmio (2.25 syns), cheese (hexa)

Drinks
3 cups of tea (4 syns, 3 for the milk and an extra one as the cup I got from the machine tasted like it had sugar in it!)

Home from hospital and I managed to stay on plan 100% for the duration of my stay. Looking forward to my bed tonight!
