    Restarting today after a very long time off slimming world, lost 32lbs last time so let's do it this time!

    I am vegetarian so will be following only green days.

    I do get stuck in a bit of a rut with regards to food so hope to borrow lots of lovely ideas from here

    Looking forward to my Asda delivery coming so I have lots of lovely things to munch!!

    Doing it myself from home never been to group, got some books but old versions now so some of my syn values might be a bit wonky

    Any advice/chat always appreciated so here goes...

    First day wasn't too bad, was waiting on Asda delivery coming so as a result choices were a bit limited but got lots of SW staples stocked up now yay!

    Hate wasting syns on microwave rice but crutches kind of limit my cooking abilities somewhat, means I have quite lazy food at the moment as well since my bf does all my cooking for me at night and I just need to fend for myself during the day by sticking something in the microwave!!

    Oooh day of tasty new food discoveries!!

    Went to Waitrose last night for first time (we only just recently got any of them in Scotland and well Asda is 5 minutes away and Waitrose is 20 but bf needed some specific gin for a prezy so off we went) got a couple things I have been wanting to try for ages. Had some bear nibbles yesterday as a HEB and they were very yummy nice to have a snack that you don't need to use any syns on, bit overpriced for what you get a tiny bag of granola but was a nice wee treat, bit sad I only bought 2 bags.

    Also got some kara coconut milk, nicest dairy free milk I've tried yum! I'm not vegan but since I became veggie about 5 months ago been trying out various vegan products too.

    My fave veggie sausages are linda mccartney ones so was very excited to hear they have new flavour that are SYN FREE! red onion & rosemary flavour and totally amazing I love them, currently £1 a box in Asda and apparantly limited edition so I might need a new freezer to just fill with them!

    Tonight i'm going to try kale for the first time, I'm such a wierdo with food totally fussy vegetarian so attempting to try new veggies.

    B- 2 choc weetabix (HEB & 2 syns)
    , milk (HEA)

    banana (FREE), grapes (FREE)

    L - 2 linda mccartney red onion sausages (FREE), spiderman spaghetti shapes (FREE) on toast (HEB), glass of my new fave kara coconut milk (HEA)

    D - will be some sort wholemeal pasta with kale and lemon juice and garlic and herbs, at least that's currently the plan, maybe some other veggies thrown in the mix too! (FREE)

    still got syns to use as well so will probably have some mini cheddars or mini oreos! YUMMMM oh and use some of the fruit that's all sitting in the fridge, need my bf to cut it up for me later damn these crutches!

    Oh and attempting to get about only using 1 crutch today instead of two, it's sore but do-able! Yay slight progress

    Those LMc red onion sausages are bloody gorgeous! Even I like them. I have been known to cut them in half and cook them a bit longer (so they go hard) and stick them on my roast in place of stuffing FTW!

    Question about Waitrose, did you find it considerably more expensive? I haven't even ventured into the one near us (not actually near) because I just thought it would cost a fortune.

    It depends what you are buying really they do have a lot more high end products but then the only 2 waitrose shops in Glasgow are in really posh parts so that's kind of to be expected. The fruit and veg selection is really good looked nice & fresh and loads more choice than my local Asda! They also had a great selection of frozen veg which is handy. I wouldnt do all my shopping there but definitely considering making the occasional trip to get some bear nibbles and get a couple bags of frozen veg as the variety is great and so handy for making quick soup. The basics range is not bad prices, also maybe worth a note is that I had a look on the website before I went and they do free delivery on any order over £50 I don't spend that weekly but handy to know if doing a big shop also they deliver to me even though I'm quite far away from the store. Didn't buy much coz done an Asda delivery few days ago so was trying not to buy anything so all I got was kara coconut milk, bear nibbles and some magical frozen herb packets. Ones Italian and ones Thai they were 2 for £2.50 and seem pretty useful as fresh herbs taste much better than dried but I rarely buy them coz quite pricey and most of them go to waste! I did however go up and down every aisle looking at every product they had though since I'm cooped up inside all day it's nice to walk about even if it's just a supermarket :-) x

    Yay I got chocolate philadelphia it wasn't quite as sweet as I was expecting it to be, but not wierd and cheesy either. Pretty awesome 30g (4 syns) worth is plenty to spread thick on some HEB toast! Like the little portion controlled tubs - same price to buy them as it is to buy the tub so less for your money but means they stay fresh so don't get wasted and you know you are only having exactly 30g!

    Woops been a bit low on the updating here though do have it on paper diary will stick it up tomorrow! Been eating a bit rubbishy past two days because been in a lot of pain and the old comfort eating kicks in! Other than 2 fresh cream chocolate eclairs yesterday that the boyfriend got me to cheer me up everything else has been within syn allowance so not as bad as I would normally be with eating.

    Just a bit disappointed in myself that I havnt been better on my first week! :-( not had much fruit or veg been relying on microwaveable things or syn free meals my bf cooks for me. To be fair it is because I'm still on crutches (had broken ankle and plates and pins put in so still recovering from that even though the cast is now off) so mobility is difficult so I go for whatever's easiest to eat! Managed my first steps without crutches yesterday which was great but really paid for it last night and all of today it's been so sore! Least it's some progress and going for my first physio appointment on Tuesday so I'm excited about getting better and back to normal :-D moan over! Will post up food tomorrow and get back on track. Xx

    Argh why have I been such a pie? Eating crap because my heads all over the place at the moment - need to stop having excuses and get back on plan tomorrow!! Had lost a pound in first week there and then went and ate 2 Kitkat chunkys, a box of ritz crackers, a whole pack of biscuits amongst other rubbish FOR NO GOOD REASON!
