A New Food Diary - For New :)

Hi all,

I'm so late for work as I've been reading all your food diaries! I think I've gained a few pounds too!

Since I only started on Saturday morning, I thought I'd write a diary so I remember what I've eaten that day and also I'm looking for you pros to tell me where I can improve.

So yesterday I has this:

Breakfast
35g All Bran
100ml ss milk

Lunch
Jacket potato
Cheese
Baked beans
Salad (lettuce, cucumber, beetroot)

Dinner
45g wholemeal bread roll
2 boiled eggs
Apple
2 clementines

Syns
2 Cadburys Fabulous Fingers
8g ketchup
Chocolate Mini Milk

This was a very restrained day for me! I think I was careful because the I ate lunch out and even though I counted the cheese as a Healthy Extra, I don't know how much there was, so limited my syns (well tried!)

I find the weekends difficult because there is no routine, but I can only do my best :)

Well, day two has gone ok. I have had more syns than I wanted to, but still within the 15.

EDIT: Realised I had the syn value for the full fat version of dressing rather than the light one. I thought it seemed high! :p

Hi all,

Today was difficult as I had my favourite meal for dinner and it includes creme fraiche! However, I did make some better choices by using half fat and instead of using 300ml like the recipe calls for, I used 200ml and didn't miss that extra 100ml!

Wholewheat pasta
Extra Lean Smoked bacon (can't be bothered with faffing around!)

Half fat creme fraiche (8.5) - though I'm pretty sure I didn't have that much, I thought it's better to be over than under!

Hi :)

I do like it, but I find I can't trust myself on EE! I do like red days though.

Dinner last night is my favourite and so easy to cook!

Cook the pasta
Get a big frying pan and cook the bacon
Take the bacon out and cut it into little chunks
Back in the pan
Whack in the spinach until wilted
Drain the pasta
Put the bacon/spinach mix in
Stir in the creme fraiche

As Gordon Ramsey would say - bacon, spinach, creme fraiche pasta - DONE :)

How are you getting on? Do you have a diary that I can spy on? :)

Enjoying the plan still, finding I get hungry at 4pm, so I'm starving by the time I get home! Need to find a snack inbetween so I'm not tempted by anything when I'm cooking tea

I think am in syns, but I had some peri peri sauce, I'm not 100% sure that the jacket potato wasn't fried and I think some of the chicken had skin on (though I took most of it off)

How annoying! I noticed I could have had chicken, rice and green beans which would have been better! Doh!

Hi all,

Well, yesterday didn't go particularly well. I didn't eat tea last night as I had a row with my BF about using olive oil instead of Fry Light! I might get skinny, but I might be single!

Subway tuna salad bowl (lettuce, cucumber, peppers, onions, sweetcorn and carrots)

Nothing but rage! Oh, and a Yum Yum!

It's WI in about 90 minutes and I'm scared! The anger from yesterday might have made me put weight on (oh, and that Yum Yum too!)

Today I've used flexible syns as my BF (we're now friends after Oil-gate!) treated me to lunch.

Roast chicken and bacon sandwiches on brown bread

Handful of chips (nicked from my BF plate!)

I estimate that being about 50 syns. We did cycle to the pub (12 miles) do hopefully that'll mitigate the damage!

I did enjoyed today, but now back on track :) Hoping for 2lbs this week, so got to focus.

I'm really struggling to drink water this week. The thing is, it's all I drink (no tea, coffee or squash) so if I don't have that, I'm lacking fluids. I have been forcing myself today though.

I don't know why though, I normally have 6 glasses of water without trying.
